To be fair, if someone rolled up onto my property (how does that work, anyway, privately owning a church?) with a bulldozer and private army of goons dressed as Confederate soldiers and charging with guns in hand, I'd be inclined to shoot first and ask questions later myself.

You and I don't have the power to compel people to do exactly what you or I say though. Isn't winning the battle without firing a shot the ultimate victory?

Isn't that fundamental to the problem of Evil, though?  Wouldn't an omniscient, benevolent God never have introduced it in the first place?  (If you had the power to compel, why shoot?)

Yeah, that was a rather weak reason to do that.

I was amused by Jesse managing to hold off all those goons of Quincannon's by himself. At first I thought perhaps Cassidy was helping him.

This show is gross. I assume after the open Quincannon is grinding up people somehow with his beef.

Agree about the dog. That was sociopathic.

Everything else is just weird, but I keep watching. Partly the humour and partly the show just seems so fucked up I can't stop watching. 

Weirdest thing to me is actually the mayor being okay with mass murder by Q.
