I think they are trying to ease the new designer to take Duke’s old position. I am just not a fan of her. I prefer they just keep the three regulars. Also, we didn’t get to see Marley this episode from the brief time Justin was on the show. I worry since she had really aged during the show. I just want to know she is ok. I am too invested in a dog I have never met.  I don’t know why I watch this show. The bad acting, the fake drama situations and yet I really like this show.

I think so too because there’s another new episode this coming Saturday and the TV listing mentions Alynne again.  Her just going ahead with tearing out those cabinets without the agreement with Keith? Uh, no but watching it I know there has to be some drama on these shows.  I like this show too and I find it far better than that Vegas Flipping show with that guy Scott whatever and his screechy wife.  I don’t remember what channel it’s on but I caught some old episodes a while back and it looks like it’s cancelled.  Everything on that show screams cheap, cheap, cheap.
I hope Marley is ok too.  She’s a good dog 😊

I think the Flipping Vegas was originally on A&E, a long time ago.  That's why it shows up on A&E very rarely, but mostly on FYI with the other reruns from the various HGTV and Discovery channels.

For a while Scott and Amie, were doing seminars on house flipping.

I'm sick of that green tile in the shower too.   They've had it on at least 4 episodes, and I think Unsellable Houses used it once or twice too, don't remember if that was the dark green, or dark blue, but same tile, horizontal stack.   I had to laugh when they needed 2 more boxes of green tile on the rerun episode, and Keith got the last two boxes at Daltile (?), you know somewhere he has a garage or storage until full of that green tile.

I love Marley too.

3595 Emerywood Lane 32812 Sold for $450,000 on 3/28/22 to Parhelion Homes which is a holding company they use a lot. It has not been resold as of 7/22/22. Home has 2450 sq ft.  property appraiser says it only had 5 bed/2.5 bath.  Pool was put in 1973 so they really did need to resurface it. Last home sold in Oak water Pointe, which is the neighborhood sold in May for $460,000. So it probably needed to be updated as well. But no sales in the last year for more than that. A lot of homes in Conway have that horrible coquina rock. Mine did and I couldn't wait to get rid of it.  We have friends that will not update their homes and remove it. It looks so dated from the 1970's. It looks like they got a surplus sale on that green tile. I think they've used it 4 times now. Hate the geometric tile it will look dated in within 3 years. They said they sold for $710,000 but it hasn't closed yet.

Today's new episode with Keith and Alynne on "Brown" is interesting.    They put a hard patio cover on the back, but it is blocking most of the two back windows, blocking the light, and I hope that the two windows weren't egress windows for fire?

Re: today’s new episode nice re adding the doors dividing the entryway from the living room.  When they first showed the house it looked like that front room looked like it used to be open - wish they could have reopened it but I get it that it didn’t make sense cost wise with square footage of the house, etc.  I’m glad they painted the outside a better color than that original mustard.  Again, no Marley appearance.   At least we got one in the repeat prior episode where she makes an appearance at the Title company. 😊

114 North Brown Ave In Thornton Park. Supposedly bought for $400,000 and sold for $600,000. I have driven by this house for over 50 years. I know they would lose square footage but it looks like it needs the front porch. That sad little awning isn't going to cut it for me. This was owned by a couple who quit claimed to One person so I suspect because a sale didn't really happen it was a Reno for the single owner. Probably had been rented for awhile because the flippers companies didn't buy it. It was bought in 2008 and quit claimed in 2014.

I know they are trying to "educate" people but I was telling at the TV put shims under the cabinets. Easiest and cheapest option there is for an unlevel floor. The windows were probably stored in the garage and they wanted to highlight a local store. It would be unusual to get 10 in perfect order aftermarket especially for older windows. The black fireplace was ugly. Should have left it white. The texture on the walls should have been dealt with. It doesn't cost that much to skim coat it to make it less bumpy. What was the point of showing us the hidden door and then NOT OPEN it to reveal what's behind it? And what the hell was the light strip of flooring  in the main bedroom? Why wasn't it stained or replaced? I would be freaking if my 50 gallon water heater was above my head. That's why we put in a tankless one. Also did they get a back of truck deal on those stupid shower spray things? Didn't the last 4 houses get them? Hated the brown inset things in the kitchen cabinets as well. Didn't go with the rest of the kitchen vibe. Not sure I understood why they had so many pavers in the backyard. They really didn't go anywhere. Hope the homeowner has a leaf blower since the leaves can't break down on fake grass. You will continuely have to blow them off.

530 San Juan Blvd-Bought 6/21 for $215,000 and Realtor says it JUST sold for $500,000 on 7/22/2022. (they said $595,000 on show). There are no comps in the neighborhood since nothing is that big. I guess that's why it took almost a year to sell. Never buy the most expensive house in the hood...Don and Diane did buy the house so hopefully they reined Ashley in on her design choices. Back at Daltile again. Hate the showerheads in all the baths. Also why have such a huge main shower and not use that extra room to put in a toilet room? This was truly a zombie house. No wonder there's no tile backsplash in the kitchen. They sink looks sad in there with no accent around it and no window. All the LVLs are off center and I know that would drive me cray to look at every day. And to not enclose the carports is just wrong. There was plenty of room to do it and they could of even kept the windows in that front room of the carport too. I guess it's the Keith show now since he's starting in every episode as the main flipper.

The only part I found interesting was the permit stuff, which they often don't show, and the fact that they took a loss, which hasn't happened before that I recall.

From a restoration point of view, the part I like, it was a bit boring since we didn't get to see much actual construction.

How many episodes this season?

And this folks is why you stick to what you know. New county and then a new city. Sounds like Lake Mary is worse than the City of Edgewood which makes them terrible. You already have relationships with City of Orlando and Orange County just stay in your lane. I'm not even going to bother to look up info on this cause it's not worth my time.....

Raeford episode- address really is 3101 S. Bumby Ave. This is at least the 2nd time they've lied about the address in the title. Since the house is on the corner they use the other street as the address. I know this house. It is diagonally across the street from the Orange County Juvenile Jail and courthouse. Around the corner is the Orange County Morgue. It used to be the 4-H facility until the county wanted it and moved the Extension Office down Conway Rd.

I think this house was hit by hurricanes in our triple whammy of Charlie, Jeanne and Francis in 2004 and was never really repaired. The house was built in 1946 and was quite large for that time 4/2  with 1819 SF and a separate garage. They probably had Orange groves around it back then. The area was originally in the zone of several fish camps nearby. The first recorded deed was 1973 for $25,000 and the last is Jan 6, 2022 for $0. So they must have had a deal between Duke and the homeowner's estate. But the property was deeded to Hourglass which is the Zombie's Company.

I think most of what was done was OK. There was probably a homeowner directing them for what to decorate. I'll need to drive by and see how it turned out now that it is done.  Surprised that they could get windows so quickly. My dad had to wait over 5 months and my massage therapist has been waiting 6 months for theirs. I did see there was no glass in the showers as usual for their showing. I didn't see a front walk but maybe I missed it. They did a crap job on landscaping as per normal.

I think they leave the closets open so the buyer can get the open wire shelves put in, or go more expensive with a closet organizer system.     It's just like the builders or remodelers who don't supply a refrigerator, so you can get the style you want.    Many times there are credits for appliances, or with a closet organizing company.

I think a lot of shows fudge the address, or say it's in a different suburb, so the homeowners won't get harassed with sightseers.

All the answers are in Keith's IG comments

cat_thompson1987 So in all the posts Keith that I've seen from you and Duke I just realized that I'm not seeing Justin and I'm not seeing Ashlee in any of them. Are they going to be in Season 5 or are you not allowed to say?🤔

I got to see only the last 20 minutes or so when they were in “crisis” mode.  This team is “meh” for me.   I checked the listing for next week and it looks like it’s the same crew again.   They showed the commercial explaining there’s new episodes at different locations so I’ll keep an eye out for them.   Anyone know what happened that caused them to do episodes in other locations with different people?  Did they run out of zombies in the Orlando area? 😆😆

The Florida crew was advertising (on Ashley's real estate web site) that they will do renovations, not just Zombies, and other houses they own.  I bet some of them on this last season were contract remodels, so not flips at all.   So, I guess they did run out of Zombies.

The Ft. Worth crew with the polluted cat house was ridiculous.   $35k to $40k to gut and remodel that house?   No way, if they did a good job.  I had a friend who inherited a family house, and one room was destroyed by a cat.   That one room cost thousands to fix, because everything had to be removed, including drywall, moulding, flooring, and floor had to be cleaned and resealed.   Plus some areas had toxic materials under the sill plate (if that's not the right term, it's the bottom board at the base of the wall) in the room, had to be replaced too, because they soaked up cat urine.     That room always had an odor even after that.

There's no way the Ft. Worth house could have been redone for the price they budgeted.    I bet more like $100k.   (Or the sadder scenario, that they didn't replace everything they should have on the house, and if there's ever a water leak, the smell will come back).

Unfortunately, they're branching out to other cities the way the Flip or Flop producers did, some only lasted one season, others made it for two.   But all went bye-bye.   I think that's what will happen to the Zombie other cities.    In the Fort Worth house, if you're so over budget, then why do wallpaper, and a more expensive tile layout?

(Dallas/Ft. Worth is a fast growing real estate market, with tons of new builds, and remodels, and prices are going up).

@CrazyInAlabama agree with you regarding your estimate of how much that renovation would probably cost.  I have no idea what the Fort Worth/Dallas market is like regarding renovation costs, housing, etc. as I’m in a different state.   Last year selling my parents house (which they had owned for years) needed updates and the renovation estimate that the initial interested buyer told us he got was close to 100k (we turned him down btw).  The renovations touched every room of the house. I figure the person we did sell the house to spent that much based on what he sold the house for months later.

Anyway with that 35k budget I’d be wary of the materials they used unless they got a really, really good deal (I doubt it).  I’ll watch next week to see if it’s the same shtick again.

I believe the same crew in Ft. Worth is on this Saturday's episode.   I'm enjoying the following show, Triple Digit Flip, instead of random flippers on Zombie.

I've watched a few TDFs and I like the sister but the two boys are annoying. Real question: can you tell the houses apart after they've been flipped? Or could each house be on either programme?

Before 11 am my online TV guide the 11 am episode for this morning was still being listed as a new episode so I was surprised when I tuned in to watch that it was a rerun of the Lake Mary episode from a few months ago.   Checking now it’s updated to that Lake Mary episode.  Who knows what happened.

I had the same thing. So came here to see if anyone knew what happened.

I have no idea but I’m wondering if there’s anything online from anyone on the show would say what happened.   I don’t do any of the social media like Facebook, Instagram, etc.  I doubt it would be anything like low ratings after only one episode with a new team.

I follow both Keith and Ashlee on Instagram. Ashlee had no mention of it, and Keith just recently posted that there will be episodes of ZHF: Orlando, showing just him and that architect who was in a couple episodes last season.

If you're thinking I need to get a life, I don't have a strong argument against you. 😁

I watched part of the Fort Worth team episode, and it was boring.    SInce they advertised another episode with the same team, I'm wondering if it will be the Fort Worth group when another episode airs?  Or if they'll switch teams again.

The articles I read said that this season would be a bunch of different teams in different locations.  The A & E network site says Tampa: Temple Hill,, and it's new.   So I guess the Fort Worth flippers are gone, at least for now.

They did such a good job on the outside of this house.  We have been driving by for years and now comment how great it looks.  No idea it was the zombie flippers.

I wish they'd take a page from other flipping shows and modify the name for the other crews - Zombie Houston, Zombie Tampa, etc.  Unless each of these other teams are one and done, which I doubt.  I do think they are like extended auditions, though, and some subset of the alternate teams may become a regular part of the rotation.

I saw an interesting post on Keith's instagram last night. He said the two new teams are "brand extensions," and there will be episodes with the Tampa, Dallas and Orlando teams. The Orlando team will be Keith, Duke and Allyne. (sp?)

Justin and Ashlee will not be returning. When asked why, Keith repeatedly said "that's their story to tell."

Make of it what you will.
