It was stated back in 2014 that Sarah agreed to become somebody's surrogate offscreen before she showed up in Salem. Why wasnt this mentioned at all when she returned to Salem?

Really? Huh. When was this stated...I don't remember mention being made of Sarah at all for the longest time during those years..

I believe Melissa mentioned Sarah when she came for Alice's wake - or Maggie mentioning that around the same time. But I just hand wave it as the surrogacy not taking.

Melanie and Maggie mentioned it during their conversation. It was when Eve first showed up and Maggie was explaining to Melanie about Eve's past including the time when Eve ran over Sarah and then later on  Maggie mentioned the surrogacy
