Therese should be more secure in her marriage and laugh off that Paige wants to get her parents together. Be the mature one and don't make it out to be a real threat.  To confront Paige would be to let her know she has power.

Terese's constant insecurity over Lauren and Brad is getting so tiresome, how long is this going to go on for?  And her manipulations sure make her look bad, I can see another argument with Brad coming up when he finds out.

 

I was surprised Amber and Daniel split up without them showing more what led to it for Amber.

Yes it sounds like a plot point.  Amber was annoying assuming Josh wanted to get back with her.  It will be easier for them as parents.  

 

Paul was absurd - firing Kyle over that was stupid.  The way Kyle handled it was better than the way Paul wanted to handle it.

Yeah I liked the discussion about harassment too but still think Kyle handled it better.  Why not try and handle it in a non confrontational manner then make a complaint if the behaviour continues.

Yes.  Among Paul's facts are that he is an old fashioned type - have to beat up on someone if they bother "my" women.

Yeah and then the other person gets their back up.  The way Kyle handled it it seemed like the guy got it that his behaviour wasn't appropriate and wasn't spurred towards acting even worse.

 

I am glad the whole Dimato/Tyler/Paige story is finally out, that went on way too long for me.  Mark just keeps pushing Tyler further away, I hope he can back off a bit and repair their relationship..

Imogene kissed Daniel once too.  So they've each had a kiss that the other didn't want.  LOL.

Yeah Terese is very threatened by Lauren, with good reason it seems, but she could have handled it much better, not very attractive what she has been doing.  And I think Brad has been feeding into her insecurity by spending so much time with Lauren.  I had to laugh at the meaningful looks across the street when taking the garbage bags out especially when Lauren had just said she wasn't acting on it.

 

I have to say it again - Nell is adorable.

Paige should reconsider.  She always seems to be apologizing to Brennan.  

 

Good points about the social media.  Though maybe young people these days shouldn't be judged so much on it.  The older generation did crazy things - it was not recorded is all.

Yes the kid on a soap from infancy seems to be able to recite lines when they get old enough.  It's odd, but must be just because they are used to being there, they are not intimidated.  

 

Russell seems a judgmental rather than caring father.   If you do well, like Mark, he's behind you, but anything less and he's merely judgmental.  Homophobic too.

Yeah Russell is awful and I thought Naomi was way out of line pushing Sheila towards him just because they are around the same age without knowing what he is like.

 

And Josh continues to be charming - not.  He was pushing so hard to go to America supposedly for the baby's sake, now he can't go, he doesn't want Amber to go either, stuff the baby.

 

eta So Russell is not as bad as I first thought re the homophobia but then it turns out he beat up Tyler, so back to bad.

 

Terese is such a ballbuster, she couldn't even listen to Brad about the wood before flinging about orders of getting rid of it.

The jumping castle thing is kind of strange.  If it is so important not to move it, that should be in bigger print.  The people who delivered should have made clear that they should be called.  Interesting Kyle thought he could handle it. I'm not so sure the story is so accurate in that are those things that dangerous and would it really hurt Toadie that bad for him to fall a few feet.  Maybe they are basing it on some real occurrence.  

 

Yes, Therese sure can get bossy.  Give the guy a little space, or at least discuss it.  

 

Was not finding Amy very likable.  Just because she can't have Kyle she's going to leave in spite of everyone else not wanting her to.  Good thing she redeemed herself to help Sonya.

I don't mind Amy but don't like the way she keeps changing her mind about staying/leaving.  Poor Jimmy doesn't know where he is at.

Yes, it is in character for Therese to an extent, but they are kind of obvious in wanting to get Brad and Lauren together and make it sympathetic.  Since both families came at the same time it was kind of clear that would happen and now that they've killed Matt off, all they have to do is make Therese into a witch.  I recall them using both Ezra and Paul as possible Therese cheating moments and they had Matt almost cheat.  So in some ways they are ramping up Therese's natural bossiness to make it look sympathetic for Brad to leave her. 

 

They need a new girl character or two.  They have no possible girl for Tyler.  Well, Amber's free at the moment, but no thanks!   There's Amy I suppose, but she'd be an older woman and seems set for Kyle.  Georgia is being gone too long and that could lead to divorce.

I loved Sheila and Russell in the spa and Naomi finding them, too funny.

I tired to find out and it seems Kyle is the one leaving, maybe they are both leaving - there was a post on another board that Georgia actress is already in L.A.  

 

Once on that board they posted a photo of former Home and Away actors in L.A. - they had gotten together there.  At least a dozen of them.  

 

I had a dental premium on a credit card and it expired and before I got the new one the company informed me and sent me a bill and gave me a chance to pay and then put it on the new credit card.  But in Oz they are so mean you miss one payment and you're off the insurance, lol.  Or at least, in soap opera Oz.  

 

Toadies mother is almost manly.  What a character.  I'm glad they brought her in as this is what would happen in reality if your son were badly injured.

Angie has been on and off the show for years (same actress each time). They often bring her back for the more serious Toadie storylines. I think I saw an ad or an article or something saying that Toadie's brother (and maybe his dad?) are coming back too for a while as well.

 

I think Kyle and Amber are both leaving at the end of the year. And Steph is returning soon, and so is Callum. And they are finally bringing Piper (the third Willis kid) onto the show.

Amy and Sonya imitating Angie was funny.   

 

The show is going all out with Brad and Therese.  Funny thing is how Paul seems somehow invested in splitting them up.  He brought Ezra in on purpose to cause them trouble.  Now he just seems to be facilitating the problems.

Heh, yes was very funny.  As was Terese complaining about Brad putting his wood in Lauren's shed to Susan and then them both cracking up.

Paul arranged for Terese to run Lassiter's so that her family would move to Erinsborough, and he even moved out of his old house so that they could move in and live in the same street as the Turners, all because he didn't like Matt, and he knew that Brad and Lauren used to be together. Now that Matt's gone, I don't know what Paul's deal is. I assume he just thinks Terese is too good for Brad.

 

I wonder if Matt wrote that secret? I can imagine a scene where Brad and Lauren figure that out together, and Brad comforts Lauren. *eye-roll*

I'm not remembering who was there to give secrets at the time.  Matt is a good candidate.  Yesterday they went to Amy when it was mentioned - a shot of her - but I'm pretty sure she was not there yet.  I was thinking it could be about some prior marriage - the current couples don't seem to stick out.  And it's clear it was not Brad or Therese.  

 

I'm not really sure about the Therese alcoholic thing.  They haven't set it up very well.  The alcohol free August seems to be the only reason Brad even noticed anything - and that's because she didn't take it seriously.  Maybe she drinks wine when stressed but maybe when not stressed too.  They don't show her actually drunk.  And the evening of the tiff with Brad she was angry with him and he was judging her for showing up to support him at something he was doing.  If they want us to believe she is an alcoholic, they didn't set it up well enough and show enough to cause that conclusion.  If they want it to be iffy, they are doing a good job. 

 

Toadie is a lawyer and he didn't get income replacement insurance?  Is there a disability program?  This story is kind of dull.  Finances.

 

Sheila's haircut is great.  LOL at her thinking Angie was after her man.  Did seem Angie wanted to cause trouble though.

Can't remember why Paul didn't like Matt.  Sometimes I think he just enjoys shit stirring.

 

Yeah real plot contrivance with Terese and I agree they haven't told it well enough.

 

Wasn't there some explanation of the insurance not being paid for some reason?  Can't properly remember.

 

I don't buy Georgia getting into a relationship with someone else.  Maybe it's supposed to be her that wrote she regretted getting married.  I won't buy that either if so, or they will have to have a really good explanation.  So far I just see it as plot contrivance but will see where it goes from here.

Right, it was that Sonya did not renew the credit card.  I don't know what I thought that was - health insurance I guess.  Maybe it could have referred to that.  Maybe he could get a lawyer to fight it if he can't.  

 

Nate being the savior, too funny.  

 

I don't remember Georgia showing any doubt before she left but that doesn't mean there were no hints.  Seems like if I remember right the same thing happened to Kyle with Jade.

I don't think Georgia was as keen as Kyle to get married. She was angry at him for cheating on her with Kate, and didn't they only get back together because Kate died? And she wasn't keen to have a baby either. Remember they had that "baby bucket list"? So it kind of fits. But obviously it's now all happening because she's leaving the show. I assume they want to eventually get Kyle together with Amy.

 

Paul didn't like Matt because he was a cop! And I think when Matt arrived, it didn't take long before he started investigating something dodgy that Paul had been doing. I forget what it was, though.

Finally they are making the move on the plot with Brad and Lauren.  Interesting how that might turn out.  They haven't rushed it and so it's good story.

Didn't Georgia also want to go away for a specialist training course and Kyle didn't want her to go?

 

I assume yesterday's ep with only Lauren, Brad and Terese was meant to be high drama but it just made me giggle the way they kept running back and forth across the street and in and out of each others' houses, was like a farce to me.  Terese has been awful but Brad and Lauren have also been playing with fire and I think they are all wrong.

Yes, I think Georgia mentioned that when she was explaining.  

 

LOL true that they were running back and forth.  Therese goes and asks Lauren for a counselor's name when she could have asked Susan or Sonya.  But then Therese didn't know what happened between Lauren and Brad.  They should not have; she's just lost her husband and he's just escaping a bad marriage.  Or maybe his marital problems originate from his pining after Lauren too much.  Much as they try to write it as Therese being a shrew, that's only part of the problem.

Oh, I only just watched that bit now. (I sometimes skip the bits before the opening credits, because I can already remember what happened previously on my own. :P) That was weird! Haha. But I liked it. I assume they got Paul to do it because he was the one who set up the whole series of events by getting Brad and Terese to move into the street.

 

I thought Tuesday's episode was pretty good. I liked how they only had those three characters and no one else. But the way they kept barging into each other's houses (even more than usual) was weird, especially because Terese kept trying to pretend she was just there for some normal reason. And the part where Terese pushed Lauren into the pool was a bit too dramatic and ridiculous. And it's also a bit far-fetched that a photo of Lauren's backyard would be taken at the exact moment when she kissed Brad, and that Paul would see it almost immediately. But whatever, it's Neighbours.

 

I don't get why everyone's acting like Ben's completely innocent. As if you'd pull down your friend's dad's pants when it's basically the first time you've ever spent any time with him. But there was no need for Russell to be so scary.

 

I liked Toadie taking Nell for a ride on his rocketship chair. :)

I missed the Paul narration as well, will try and catch it on the repeat tomorrow.

 

Yeah so wrong of Brad and Lauren to jump into bed imo.  And now Terese is totally blaming them and not owning her part of it.  Heh yes much of it was far fetched but that's soapies for you.

 

I understood Karl and Susan not wanting Ben to apologise, he did wrong although he was just trying join in the pranks with 2 older people, but I wouldn't have wanted to expose Ben to Russell again either.

So obvious that it wouldn't be gambling with Lucas.  I understand Sonia being suspicious but thought her ringing Vanessa and asking where the money was  coming from was over the line.  Glad the 2 are back though, sounded like the actors were shafted before.  Wonder if they will stay or disappear again, I assume they are going back to their home.

Cute scenes with Karl and Susan, though Nate was a bit full on.  I loved how Aaron wanted to get to know Karl and Susan and talk about the very things Nate warned them against.  

 

Who keeps cash in a box and not at the bank?  Oh, Toadie and Sonya.  Maybe the cleaner took the money.

Haha, they had another one of those weird "Paul tells a story" bits before the opening credits last night. I think it's good though. I think I started watching Neighbours a few months before Steph and her family first arrived on the show, but that was back in 1999, so there would be a lot of people who don't know her history. And I had forgotten exactly what happened last time she was on the show as well. LOL at that ridiculous bit where Josh met Steph for the first time and thought she looked familiar. I wondered whether they'd make a joke about those two being related. Was that just a mistake when Steph knew Jimmy's name even though Amy didn't tell her, or was it supposed to be further evidence of her creepiness? I don't see how she could possibly already know who Jimmy is.

 

Naomi is apparently gone for good! I thought she was just leaving because the actress was having a baby, and she didn't get a good farewell so I assumed she would be back before long, but then I read an interview where she made it sound like she had no plans to return. So sad. I love Naomi! I hope she does come back.

I liked them giving a bit of an overview of Steph's story too.   Hahaha at me.  I wondered why Josh would say Steph looked familiar, thanks for clearing that up for me, duh me.  Funny they put that in.

 

Yeah I am sad Naomi is gone too, she did my head in at first but I got to really like her.

 

At least Brad and Lauren are being honest finally instead of sniffing around each other under the guise of friendship.  But he is sure jumping from one relationship to another awfully quick.

 

I think Karl is being a dick about Daniel's free cuppa plan.

Why on earth didn't Steph say where she thought Jimmy might be instead of acting so suspicious and shifty.  And if she had taken someone else with her they could have let Amy know he was safe immediately.

 

People sure do like sticking their noses in other people's business on this show.  Now it's this new woman who has something to do with Steph.  I already dislike her intensely.

 

Really Susan?  You are the principal, you should know better than to ignore a fire alarm.  And then it took her ages to put in place what she had been taught.

I'm glad they didn't use the fire to kill anyone off.  The last episode this week was a Brennan odyssey.  He was in scenes with at least 5 others in one show!  

 

I don't think Brad could carry two people at once, so he had to pick one and go back to the other.  Why not pick the lighter one and leave the heavier one for the firies?  They would have been there in real life.  I guess in soap land they have to stand back for the white knight characters.  

 

Lucky child to come into the world with a romantic triangle amongst his grandparents.  

 

And I continually think, this fire is so they can build a new set for the school!
