ratgirlagogo January 18, 2016 Share January 18, 2016 (edited) Oh, I DO know what this is in that case. Steve Plotnicki used to be on Chowhound and quit largely because - well, rather than tell you, here's an old CH thread discussing it from around the time he started OAD: http://www.chowhound.com/post/opinionated-dining-499198 It's linked within the above thread, but this is worth reading on its own to give you an idea of where he was at 15 years ago: http://www.chowhound.com/post/excellent-dinner-nazar-237077 How influential his blog is these days, I really don't know either. Julia January 18, 2016 Share January 18, 2016 Oh my. So, I read this, from a linked thread When you walk in, it immediately feels different than any other Turkish restaurant you've been to. No kebab house feeling, and no silly artifacts that are to remind one of Constantinople or the days when Turkey ruled the Mediterranean. I might be wrong but I don't recall a single picture of the Bosphurus! and this "better than Queens appearance" and unless they're not representative of his approach, he comes across like maybe one answer to that not-so-fresh feeling.
