Bruinsfan December 8, 2015 Share December 8, 2015 That "It's a killer puzzle box designed to scare me to death, and I'm trapped inside it. Must be Christmas!" line quite possibly sums up the Doctor's essence better than anything I've ever heard before. Did the whole castle set remind anybody else of the video game Myst? It actually really reminded me of a Samuel R. Delany story "Night and the Loves of Joe DiCostanzo." The protagonist wandering through a spooky abandoned castle that may or may not be real, with events endlessly repeating. So in that moment, from his perspective, we are Clara. Just as we always have been. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!1! 1 Link to comment
Last Time Lord November 27, 2016 Share November 27, 2016 Just watched this for the first time. How did this episode not win literally all of the awards? This was absolutely tremendous. 2 Link to comment
Eulipian 5k January 17, 2019 Share January 17, 2019 Did a re-watch after Jodie's season. This is what the Doctor Who show would be like if he "traveled alone", he'd be prattling on to himself, "without an audience". Was that a reflection, or did I see a figure wearing the Doctor's clothes at the bottom of the Pool of Skulls. One of the copies died after the jump out the window?? wtf?? Wouldn't the chain of events end right there? Link to comment
