AshleyLyn November 6, 2015 Share November 6, 2015 Just out of curiosity, is the clip about Trudeau's response about his cabinet for real? He was asked why he had an equal amount of men and women on his cabinet and his response being "It's 2015." Just wondering if that wasn't edited. I've been seeing a few clips of him here and there and he seems interesting. Link to comment
shok November 6, 2015 Share November 6, 2015 The clip wasn't edited. That was exactly the question and his answer. He is interesting and he's bringing such a refreshing change of attitude to Canadian government, or at least a change from the last ten years. Some of his cabinet choices were quite daring and it will be fascinating to watch how it all plays out. 1 Link to comment

Hanahope November 6, 2015 Share November 6, 2015 Friend of mine had a great response to that question, "because you're still asking that question." Very Josh Whedon-like. Link to comment
dustylil November 7, 2015 Share November 7, 2015 I would have been more impressed if the "Because it is 2015" comment had originated from Trudeau himself rather having been suggested to him by an advisor. But let's see how things play out. So far, so good. I'll likely wait a couple of months before beginning to mutter my favourite Emerson quotation - "The louder he spoke of his honour, the faster we counted our spoons." Link to comment
OneWhoLurks March 23, 2016 Share March 23, 2016 Justin Trudeau Headed For Victory In Canada NYT: "For much of the 78-day race, all three major political parties were in a statistical dead heat, according to various polls." I like to think it was John Oliver who gave Trudeau his winning margin. The hilarious thing is that a small subset of Trump supporters are convinced you're right. They've been passing the video around and raging at the stupid Canadians who supposedly allowed themselves to be manipulated by his "illegal campaign" into voting for "a socialist." As such, they've been taking the threat of John Oliver to their preferred candidate entirely too seriously for their own health. 1 Link to comment
