thuganomics85 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 Normally, I'd say this was the "shit gets real!" episode, but honestly, that happens with almost every episode. So, I guess it's more that shit really gets real instead, heh. So, Mary does find The Countess' body, and uses it has a bargaining chip to free her son. I was confused why she didn't just destroy it and kill The Countess. Was she worried Sebastian would retaliate? Or that The Countess could still harm her son, before they could kill her? Either way, at least the son is away, but now Mary's arrested by Hathorne for adultery, after Sebastian brings up her affair with Wainwright. I don't see fun times for Mary coming up! Alden and Cotton are back together! Always get a kick out of this duo. Can't wait to see them try and perform an exorcism next week. Possessed kid is already creeping me out. This should be crazy! Cotton and Anne marry, which would really be sweet if it wasn't for the whole love spell thing (which Mary was kind of enough to remind me about again.) But now Anne knows that The Countess attends for Cotton to be a victim in her plan, so I'm hoping this means Anne's going to be joining the fight soon. Issac lives! At least he's got that going for him. Too bad Dollie didn't make it. I hope this leads to him somehow effecting the game. I would love it if part of The Countess' downfall is because of a Vengeful Issac. Beware of the Wrath of Issac! I thought Lucy Lawless was really great in the scene when she told Mary about what she's been through her entire life. Really sold her anger, and why she was willing to do this. I almost would watch a show about The Countess' life. She lived during The Crusades! That had to be something. Link to comment

This was an amazing scene, she completely sold me. I love all the actresses on this show, they are so talented at portraying their characters. I feel Mary's anger, passion, fear and drive. Mary's facial expressions alone convey a depth of emotions. When she told Alden that she was willing to die to save her son, and then reaffirmed it to the Countess, it was powerful and believable, as when she said she never truly cared for anything until she experienced motherhood (paraphrasing). This was a great episode, the only thing missing was Tituba and Wainwright. 1 Link to comment
laprin June 11, 2015 Share June 11, 2015 Great episode! This show is proving to be one, if not the scariest TV series that has ever aired. It has more horror than American Horror Story. Link to comment
Rahul June 11, 2015 Share June 11, 2015 (edited) This was a great episode, the only thing missing was Tituba and Wainwright.Tituba and Mercy's absence was a big plus in my book. Their portrayers are woefully bad actresses. Why was the Countess not more distraught by the immolation of her ancient remnants? Did I miss something? Edited June 11, 2015 by Rahul Link to comment
BigBlueMastiff June 11, 2015 Share June 11, 2015 Why was the Countess not more distraught by the immolation of her ancient remnants? Did I miss something? Probably because they weren't completely destroyed. Link to comment
Amberosia June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 Probably because they weren't completely destroyed. Yeah, that's my thinking on the matter. The Countess was able to put out the flames, so the corpse was scorched but not destroyed. You'd think that bag of bones would have gone up like a kerosene soaked rag. More's the pity that it didn't. I hate Hawthorne. Like, really hate him. He's so skeevy and sneaky and such a spineless, shameless kissass. Bleah. Little John has already been pretty creepy. But, that last scene... yikes.
