BogoGog24 February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 I believe Shi has talent in there somewhere but she just isn't ready yet. She has no clue who she is as an artist. They probably figure as long as she has the look, they can just let autotune do the rest for now. 1 Link to comment
Lonesome Rhodes February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 Shi is dead square in the middle of the 19E bullseye. She brings the added benefit of draaaaama. I can hear Sprinkles now, "Will Shi overcome her bout of nerves?! Can she handle the pressure of millions watching?! Then..."How wonderful to see a performer growing before our very eyes! THIS is what Idol keeps Idol relevant! Be sure to keep following her journey into stardom!!!!" Ugh. I get why 19E does it and I don't really blame them. I just wish there was a way for the show to focus more on real deal/ready to go talent. 1 Link to comment
goodbyeglittergirl February 18, 2015 Share February 18, 2015 And the boho woman who jammed with Harry on the piano was booted, with barely a full sentence mention. I call shenanigans. And I really enjoyed her! I was bummed that she was booted. I wish we'd heard what happened, though my guess is that she wasn't pretty enough to be that quirky. AI can handle quirky if you're a girl, but only if you're also super cute. 2 Link to comment
BogoGog24 February 18, 2015 Share February 18, 2015 That, plus too old. Remember - she is "beaten down." *roll eyes* 3 Link to comment
proserpina65 February 19, 2015 Share February 19, 2015 I'm not sure there's a way to sing that song which wouldn't be painful to me. ;) I would have even preferred them singing "The Morning After" from The Poseiden Adventure, and I hate that song. But not as much as "You Light Up My Life" apparently. Link to comment
