Mr. Sparkle June 7 Share June 7 Airs Sunday, June 8th. Maggie considers making an alliance, as the outcome of Negan's actions come to a head. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/
Iguessnot June 9 Share June 9 I rather enjoyed this episode except when those youngsters were on screen. I want to slap the both of them into next week. The bear was weird, but it had me on the edge of my seat. The Marshall switches between overacting or hard to interpret side eyes. It's annoying. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8681681
Starchild June 9 Share June 9 So Negan's family was pointless. I kept expecting the Croat to jump into view and murder them, but...nothing. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8681692
Audpaud June 9 Share June 9 I'm enjoying Season 2 more than last Season but not sure why. I still can't keep the people straight, and was sorry to see the gal from Ozark killed off but they ARE keeping the story moving aren't they? Confession: I seriously cannot remember why the teen girl turned on Negan or if she did? My memory was that she was devoted to him. This is why I miss The Talking Dead Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8681980

nodorothyparker June 10 Share June 10 So ... NOT zombie bear, according to several interviews. Just bear. I was really hoping we were going to see Ginny turn after Maggie's tortured you and I are the same speech to put an end to the full circle it felt like they were going for but I guess we first also have to get Negan being guilt ridden over this sulky monosyllabic kid showing up to pull a gun on him before dramatically collapsing. Didn't realize until the end of the episode when they clearly hadn't wrapped up the storytelling that this season has eight episodes instead of the standard six all of the spinoffs have been running. I assume this means we're going to have to sit through more dramatics with the Croat before we get to the finish. I was also a bit surprised we didn't see him jump out of hiding in the long shot of Negan's wife and kid to murder them because it's this franchise but then the show wouldn't be able to endlessly milk the hope of them being out there to hold over Negan's head for him to look tortured about. Guessing they didn't want to have to pay the actress from the mother show for a one-off since we never saw her clearly but it would have been nice to throw in her reaction to having been dragged halfway across ZA America with a toddler in tow for Negan to never mind them. Yep, still an asshole. JDM's line readings in the fight with the Croat about having made him were great but what was the motivation there? Sure, Negan put that pot on to boil playing them against each other but the Croat is seemingly better off with the old woman out of the way if he can just manage a little impulse control. Really need Armstrong to pick a characterization and stick with it. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8682309
Iguessnot June 10 Share June 10 (edited) Both these teens have willingly betrayed Maggie and the group to people who will kill them, and this factoid is glossed over. Nary a harsh word to either of them. He omitted the part about killing the five men because they attacked his wife. He told that story separately to the marshal. Mr. Sparkle June 11 Author Share June 11 I can barely muster up enough interest to comment. I'm surprised the Dama is actually dead. I guess the bear part was cool, skipping the logistics of how a giant bear has been hiding for the last 15 or so years. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8683110

Can an animal eat a zombie without being infected? I don't think they can become zombies, but maybe they get sick? Anyway, that bear looked like it had been through the ringer. Looks like Central Park is still dangerous after the ZA. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8683684
gutbuster June 12 Share June 12 I had to Google the characters' names, I've been mostly paying attention but I can't remember who anyone is. How in the actual hell could Narvaez have survived long enough to monologue all of Armstrong's secrets and recap season 1 to Bruegel before dying. Did they explain that? I'm pretty sure at the end of the last episode she was a buffet and getting her throat ripped out by several walkers. I always think back to when T Dogg and Lori died there was NOTHING left of them and yet now there's full corpses left after people get swarmed. Lori was demolshed b a sngle walker. And here we have Narvaez reanimated with just a couple nibbles on her. Herschel and Ginny can get the f out. What the hell is even going on with Herschel? What is he doing? Why is he doing anything he's doing? And then pushing Maggie around? I hate that Maggie is taking all this abuse from these two a-holes. And Ginny. Yet another character who has a gun in Negan's face and fails to actually follow through. It's past ridiculous how many people have been this close to killing Negan and then just don't. I don't even care anymore if they kill Negan or not, but these fake outs aren't even fake outs anymore. It's stupid. What is Negan even doing? Why would he not go with his family? Just take them and move to Canada. So he was going along with all of this for nothing. Why doesn't he just kill himself at this point. What is he living for if not his family? This show...it wasn't even satisfying seeing Negan get smacked around with Lucille for once. A few years ago that would have been cathartic. The bear would have been cooler if we had gotten hints of it throughout the season at least. Did we and I missed them? It just felt stupid to randomly have this monster show up out of the blue. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8683692

He wants his family safe, but he thinks he brings misery to everyone around them, so he wants to protect them from himself. So he sent them back to Tennessee. 10 hours ago, gutbuster said: The bear would have been cooler if we had gotten hints of it throughout the season at least. Did we and I missed them? Ha, if it were the old Walking Dead the showrunner would come on Talking Dead and say something like "There was a brown rug in episode 2, which was a foreshadowing that there was a bear in the woods". Obnoxio June 12 Share June 12 I'm guessing Ginny passed out due to the tetanus infection. its funny that the bear grabbed the guard by the feet and dragged her into the bushes to maul her, but not eat her. I never thought they really had Negan's family. How does the Dama have people who can go to TN and capture people, People who seemed to have left before Negan showed up in NY. And they are able to move to the island without New Babylon intercepting them. somehow Negan went from prisoner to leader in a day. Why would any of those people follow his orders? One-eyed Cocaine Bear loose in New York. I missed the clues that the bear grabbed the guard. The suspicious way Maggie was looking around the corner at the guard, I thought one of the Babylon crew was ambushed the guard. But I forgot about those events soon after. I thought the bear was someone's murderous pet that Maggie stumbled upon. millennium June 18 Share June 18 Narvaez again. If you've been watching the "behind the scenes" aftershow, you would think she's an Academy Award winning actress the way the showrunners and stars try to "sell" her. The last few have been all about how utterly wonderful she is. The Maggie actress, Lauren whatsherface, is like "She was the the best Walker I have ever seen." After 50 years on the Walking Dead, and seeing a gazillion walkers, Narvaez is the greatest. Uh-huh. At last it is becoming clear to me that this show has no particular place to go, it's meandering around and creating characters just to kill them off. Herschel's a little shit. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153886-s02e06-bridge-partners-are-hard-to-come-by-these-days/#findComment-8687840
Obnoxio Friday at 03:51 AM Share Friday at 03:51 AM It's similar to how enamored they were with Princess (I think that was her name). She is some street smart steam punk girl who becomes a main character and has a big on screen relationship with some guy who wears plastic armor that we see no reason to believe they could manufacture.
