Spartan Girl April 26 Author Share April 26 (edited) “Leave it to social media to be my downfall.” Oh how I loved the parade of familiar faces coming back to trash Joe on social media! Dottie Quinn, Sherry and Cary, Paco, Ethan…and Joe’s outraged reaction made me laugh my ass off. Then of course he harnessed the predictable misogyny of the internet to turn the tide. 🙄 I can’t blame Dom and Phoenix for being mad at Bronte/Louise. Turning on them and getting Joe off the hook for Clayton’s death when the whole catfish was her idea in the first place…guess she has to learn it the hard way. bettername2come April 26 Share April 26 (edited) "Did my death sentence really just begin with the phrase 'pop off'?" The montage of people sharing their pasts with Joe was like if the Seinfeld finale took place in modern times and they were 100% more sociopathic. Sherry and Cary really are a great couple. They stick together and match each others' energy. "Peach was self defense and I don't even remember your name." "He was always cancelling class early. To do what? Kill people?" "I was dissociating!" Paco! He's not been forgotten! Aw, Beck has a brother. Who's pretty well cast. Anna Camp has done great with this role. It really shows her range. I do feel like Maddie would have a pretty solid case for temporary insanity since she was kidnapped, threatened and possibly in a state of medical emergency. Plus, you know, it proves she was locked in a translucent cage on his property at the time of the murder. Was not expecting Heidi Gardner, but she's always welcome. Ugh, the barrage of men on the internet victim blaming was disturbingly realistic. I wonder what the guy he killed was gonna say. Stop abducting women, asshole! Anela April 26 Share April 26 Nothing says romance, like cuffing your unconscious ex-girlfriend to your bed, and nobody knows where she is. I liked this way of bringing people back from past seasons. Joe Smolderberg. "My husband could learn a thing or two." WHAT? I know there are women who swoon over him, but damn. And of course the misogynists take over, so he gets to see himself as a good guy again. When he was going to kill her, if he didn't get his son back. Good for Kate, listening to her brother, and going to put things right in London, with his former student. Quote "Did my death sentence really just begin with the phrase 'pop off'?" LOL, I missed that bit. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153265-s05e07-joegoldberg/#findComment-8646510
Paloma April 27 Share April 27 I shouldn't focus on the little things when there are so many big things that are unrealistic, but why didn't the police come to Teddy's apartment after he dialed 911? I didn't even hear sirens, and we only saw Kate's private security people come in the apartment. Joe should have been arrested for assault and violating a custody order, if Teddy was willing to say what happened. Another thing: it was foolish of Kate to have Henry stay with Teddy, even if it was a new apartment. She should have realized he could find out where the apartment is and track them. Even if he hadn't put the tracking device in the book for Henry, he could have just lurked outside the school at closing time and followed them to the new place. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153265-s05e07-joegoldberg/#findComment-8646831
gesundheit April 28 Share April 28 Enjoyed the social media portion of this episode -- definitely holding a mirror up to a certain part of the You fandom! Never not funny that Joe so sincerely thinks he's not a misogynist and gets all riled up at the manosphere. So happy to see Shalita Grant again, even if just for a moment. Also nice to see Zach Cherry, from the Lifetime TV You era! 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153265-s05e07-joegoldberg/#findComment-8647336

I believe he texted '911' to Kate not that he called the actual 911. 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153265-s05e07-joegoldberg/#findComment-8647994
Anela May 1 Share May 1 I needed a break from Joe's monologue, for a few days, but this episode made me want to watch season three again. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153265-s05e07-joegoldberg/#findComment-8650271
