Snazzy Daisy March 31 Author Share March 31 This episode suffers from the absence of Sybil Schneiderman. OVERALL — I rarely watch sitcoms but this show is watchable for me. My favorite characters are Sybil and Arthur. I tolerate Bunny. The weakest link here is Matt Bomer. I am so used to seeing him in dramatic roles so it’s a bit hard for me to embrace him as Jerry the himbo. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152601-s01e10-the-show-must-go-on/#findComment-8621935
giovannif7 April 1 Share April 1 Just binged the ten episodes, and the show definitely hit my sweet spot. I repeatedly grinned and chuckled while watching, knowing how much my late partner would have enjoyed it, especially the dialogue and bitchy bonding between the core chosen family members. It's like nostalgic comfort food, with so many moments from Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, Nathan Lee Graham, Pamela Adlon and Linda Lavin that resonated with me and rang true - including the handling of the unexpected and tragic loss of Ms. Lavin. I'm disappointed this will likely not be renewed, if the responses here are any indication. It struck me that, like my late partner, a good portion of the target audience that would have loved this show did not survive the plague of the 80s/90s, and I find it sad that the show's fate will suffer for that. I want to thank the writers, actors, and the whole creative team for those of us who are still here and are able to enjoy that rare treat of watching a show and feeling seen and understood. 4 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152601-s01e10-the-show-must-go-on/#findComment-8622592
JAYJAY1979 April 5 Share April 5 It was a nice throwback to the fun 80s/90s sitcoms. Unpopular opinion, I liked Mindy a whole heck of a lot better than Sybil. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152601-s01e10-the-show-must-go-on/#findComment-8626984

Hopefully, her character will be a little bit less of a sad sack next season, now that her mother is gone. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152601-s01e10-the-show-must-go-on/#findComment-8628614
Sarah 103 April 8 Share April 8 While I disappointed we didn't see Mindy dealing with her mother's death in the previous episode, they did an excellent job of it in this episode. I was surprised that Arthur was able to help her with her grief, but I'm glad she has someone. I loved that the writers know who is in the audience and gave them a little shout out. (doing this from memory) Arthur: Just so you know, Bunny doesn't walk around naked, but Jerry does. Mindy: That's not the deterrent you think it is. Personally, I'm totally happy just seeing Matt Bomer in muscle shirts/tank tops and occasionally shirtless in the hot tub. I don't need more than that. Harvey April 11 Share April 11 Mindy is like 50, her not being able to feed herself is not cute or funny. I liked the scene where Bunny requested a gay sales person. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152601-s01e10-the-show-must-go-on/#findComment-8632326
