KeithJ March 7 Share March 7 Quote The 15 chefs who qualified for the draft are matched with their mentors and are given their first team challenge; each chef must create an incredible Italian dish. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/
KeithJ March 7 Author Share March 7 (edited) I was really hoping Blais’ elimination pick was going to come back and bite him in the ass. He was acting like such a child when he was fighting for the top dish. Then he suggests that Gordon should have two people in elimination. Nyesha seems to have changed (for the better) this season. She seems to be having a lot more fun and not as serious as she has been the previous seasons. snarts March 8 Share March 8 Is Blais even more insufferable this season or is my tolerance low? I find him & his #1 pick completely insufferable. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/#findComment-8601368

The producers probably tell him to pour on the acting but the hair is his own conceit, probably aided and abetted by some stylist backstage who also poofed up Gordon's hair although not to such a dorky level. I've never disliked Blais like many people do but I have to admit that he can be very needy and annoying. I don't think he's a bad guy at heart. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/#findComment-8601412
oliviabenson March 8 Share March 8 none of the judges bother me. Misti's pasta looked undercooked and she didn't even put it on the platform. I knew she was going home. This show is meh, but I like Gordon. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/#findComment-8601708
GHScorpiosRule March 13 Share March 13 I’m BAAAAAACK!!!! And watching Gordon saying he’s looking for “young and hungry talent” I was so hoping Arnav would be his first pick and cheered when he did! I’ve never liked Blaise; Nyesha is okay, but for me? When it comes to mentoring? It’s GORDON first, last, and ALWAYS!! But I LOATHE that Mistie is on Gordon’s team. And on a totally off topic but Gordon related item-Vikas Khanna was one of the judges in Masterchef India and is also on Celebrity Masterchef India! And he’s a nice guy in India’s shows too! Fighting jet lag, so catching up on all shows. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/#findComment-8606024
Ancaster March 14 Share March 14 Can't stand Mistie and I'm glad she didn't make the platform (not that she had any chance of winning with that undercooked spaghetti). Disappointed that my favourite wunderkind Arnav almost didn't make it, but unlike Mistie, I'm sure he can and will learn quickly from any mistakes. Unlike social media narcissist Mistie. blackwing March 17 Share March 17 So glad to lose Mistie. She was last in her audition group. Last of the 15 to get picked. And first to go home! I've never disliked Blais like many people do but I have to admit that he can be very needy and annoying. I don't think he's a bad guy at heart. Blais' hair is really ridiculous this year. It's like they put him in a wind tunnel, shut off the wind, then a production assistant rushes in and empties an entire can of hairspray to get those strands frozen in place. I have always found him irritating, but this season I find him even more irritating. I think part of it is the fact that he hasn't won yet, so he is desperate to win. I find it incredibly annoying that each mentor pushes hard for their own chef for best dish. I don't need to hear the bickering and I wish they would cut out that part of the disagreement. I think they should have a fourth judge who is impartial and tastes everything and is there to break the ties. Especially in the elimination cook. If there is a split vote, then the mentor who was overseeing the cooking gets to choose and knows exactly who cooked each dish. Which could lead to some bias if they want to eliminate a strong competitor from one of the other teams. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/#findComment-8609744

I've been trying to think if there is a better way of doing it because I also dislike how each chef just pushes their own teams' top dish. Even when two of the judges agree (Gordan and Nyesha) Blais is like "ARE YOU CRAZY?!?" Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/#findComment-8609883
jcbrown March 18 Share March 18 What is the name of the youngest contestant with the sing-song voice on, I think, Gordon's team? She was getting on my last nerve this latest episode. And her pink eyeshadow is unattractive. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152247-s04e04-ciao-down/#findComment-8610127
