MediaZone4K February 20 Share February 20 Dr Ripley's role in that fight was self defense. Had he filed a police report after seeing that guy he could have saved himself. He's Med's equivalent of Carver on Fire. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151979-s10e13-take-a-look-in-the-mirror/#findComment-8585952
DanaK February 20 Author Share February 20 Man, that ectopic pregnancy story was rough. I figured the fiance from the outset wouldn't understand her getting pregnant from someone else given how she described herself as newly religious, then we were surprised that she had been raped. Then it seemed the fiancee understood, but then he showed his true colors. Heartbreaking Ripley should have backed out of treating the guy from the start and fessed up to the fight. Now he's suspended and looking at being fired 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151979-s10e13-take-a-look-in-the-mirror/#findComment-8586652

I was actually thinking the same thing, and that Ripley and Carver should attend meetings together. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151979-s10e13-take-a-look-in-the-mirror/#findComment-8586663
Quark February 20 Share February 20 Dr Ashe just steals every scene she is in. Great episode. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151979-s10e13-take-a-look-in-the-mirror/#findComment-8586720
amarante February 21 Share February 21 Ripley didn't get fired because he was in a fight. He got fired for treating the patient as he should have not participated in any treatment once he recognized the guy - let alone vetoing what should have been the treatment for the guy based on his "guilt" rather than medical judgment. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151979-s10e13-take-a-look-in-the-mirror/#findComment-8586867
cfinboston February 22 Share February 22 That scene with Daniel sending the other psychiatrist away was bizarre. The guy is scheduled to testify in court. His supervisor fixed it so he can't go and Dr Charles goes instead and lies and says there was an emergency. Jackie's husband knows they have a relationship, which is why his lawyer asks Charles about it, but he's still allowed to testify. He then admits her perjured himself. Charles just put himself in the Choi/Manning/Olivia Benson trope where it's entirely ok to break the rules because you're the one doing it. Everyone else has to be by the book but not you because you're a justice seeking crusader. I really hated him this episode. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151979-s10e13-take-a-look-in-the-mirror/#findComment-8587995
