(They originally appeared in S08.E08 February 2020. They're from Columbus, Ohio) I’m hoping for a great update for both of them, they really embraced the program and were really trying and succeeding. (Their original episode was notable for Carlton’s girlfriend having a car accident, but she was driving a car that Shantel’s husband rented for them. Theory at the time was the camera crew vehicle was the one she ran into). Carleton had an online girlfriend who showed up as they were going to Houston (they moved before seeing Dr. Now), and she went with them. Girlfriend was driving, and hit another car, I suspect it was the camera crew van, and Shantel's husband was upset, he rented the car she was driving. Wish we'd seen more of Carlton after the last hospital visit but he just disappeared. I read one of the followups, that really aren't all that informative. Shantel says she lost over 100 lbs, and started a business. However, the original episode was aired in 2020, and this was filmed ending during 2022, so who knows what's up with either poundticipant by now.
