MediaZone4K Yest. at 03:59 AM Share Yest. at 03:59 AM Once I saw it was an Atwater episode I knew he would end up devastated in the end. PD is the worst at protecting CI's. Obviously the walk to the car was going to be a murder. "Should we pull him"--DUH! 1 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8586196
Nintra16 Yest. at 05:20 AM Share Yest. at 05:20 AM Chileeeee. This episode was a mess. Atwater went back to rookie officer or something. All of those errors and simple mistakes with things he knows better on. You can't tell me he really thought homie was going outside to get the money. Or that Hype wasn't a dead man walking, giving out all that "free info" after "Kevin Anderson" paid Luther a visit. Kevin's been doing this for over a decade. He knows better. I don't get how a drug deal gone bad devolved into multiple murders. It didn't make sense for Luther to go back and kill Wendell. Sure Wendell could ID him for killing the innocent kid, but at the same time, they'd both be on the hook for that murder. And it's not like Wendell robbed him, because Luther got back in the car with his duffel bag. Voight got Hype killed (sad) and then tried to offer a consolation prize about not revealing that he was forced to work with police. And Atwater thanked him for that. I wouldn't have had shit to say. I was excited for their lil community project too. 😕 Lastly, I'll say this. Say what you want about Hailey but she knew how to treat her CIs. I didn't like how Kevin was threatening ol' girl about her case and now she's essentially outed as a whole snitch. Reminds me of Kim and her CI. PD has to do better. PS- no way Atwater goes undercover undetected after that public announcement about the community center. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8586233

What more can I tell you, other than it was written by Rick Eid... the man that bought you the Roy Walton mess, Upzek, Detective Barbie & the repeated brutalisation of Burgess, got rid of Antonio is some stupid drug storyline, killed Al & stuck Atwater in that black v blue merry-go-round. Such a shame. Atwater deserved better. Edited Yest. at 12:52 PM by Guildford . 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8586307
SoapDoc Yest. at 02:02 PM Share Yest. at 02:02 PM I feel better now! I thought Kevin's behavior with Voight at the end didn't make sense. Even if he didn't want to get angry with his boss, I felt like we should have seen that he was pissed about the situation or even felt a little guilty about it himself. Some kind of emotion. I also wondered how all those guys hadn't seen or heard anything about the community center. Not from the news but just from around the neighborhood. Hype was involved - folks would be mentioning Hype and his new project and the policeman he was working with. It's not like Kev tries to disguise himself. And they were just standing on a podium together. And Kev did blow his snitch's cover. She has to leave the neighborhood...🙄 There were issues with this episode. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8586361

Every CI Voight drags in gets killed. And it doesnt bother him one bit. As soon as they said he was going to wear a wire, I knew he was a dead man. It wasnt a good episode. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8586506
Snazzy Daisy Yest. at 07:36 PM Author Share Yest. at 07:36 PM Chicago PD has taught us to never be a CI. We have a better chance of staying alive by going to jail. Kevin trying to be everything to all people backfires spectacularly. He should’ve kept Voight in the loop from the very beginning and let him handle the rest. Kevin going UC to meet Wendell and then Luther doesn’t really make sense to me. He was at the fundraiser where Hype publicly called him “Officer Atwater”. Then he worked on both crime scenes — Alonzo and Wendell. There are eyes everywhere. This episode is a mess. But hey, at least we get to hear Voight’s iconic lines. 😉 Quote “You tell me the truth so I can lie for you.” Kevin-centric episodes used to be compelling especially with the Black vs Blue storylines. But this season, his episodes are not good. The best episodes go to Adam and Voight. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8586616
anna0852 Yest. at 07:53 PM Share Yest. at 07:53 PM This was so boring that I turned it off halfway through. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8586627
jcbrown 3 hours ago Share 3 hours ago I like the actor and the character but I have to use closed captions to understand much of what Kevin says. This episode reverted to the boring show of the last few years rather than the good show this season has been and that's not fair to the character. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151912-s12e13-street-jesus/#findComment-8587401
