Well, that was a boring ending.  We didn't even get to see the people they were going to be with.

I hated they had to kill off one of the kids, but I liked the positive ending. It felt a bit like that show, Years and Years, where they skimmed over things that happened over a long period of time.

I really enjoyed the series I must say. The time jumps were a but much for me when while I never read the book I did read the synopsis. Per the synopsis, after Joey dies it realizes that he needs to stop trying to bring the old world back and teach people how to live in new world . Basic survival skills, I wish they had delved into that a bit more. Overall, I was happy with it. I thought Ish and Emma carried the series. They had a nice chemistry and clearly you could see the love that developed over time.
