chitowngirl December 11, 2024 Share December 11, 2024 When Bobbie catches Isabella doing a slow-fade breakup with her long-distance boyfriend, she convinces her to send a Dear John letter; Steve brings in a review praising Chef Emmett's cooking and acknowledging the tavern's bartender, "Abby." rcc December 14, 2024 Share December 14, 2024 Worst episode of the series. Too much Isabella. She is not funny and continues to bring this show down. Bad casting. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151052-s01e08-dear-jack/#findComment-8532323
seacliffsal December 14, 2024 Share December 14, 2024 Bobby is treating Isabella more like a daughter than a sister-the age gap is too much. I don't know how large that gap is supposed to be, but it should be at least 30 years. Isabella is very self-centered as evidenced in this episode as leading Jack on because breaking up with him was too hard. But, now he moved to Knoxville, quit his job, etc., and is on his own-and everyone thinks Isabella so brave... And, I still can't wrap my brain around there being a full-time accountant (Steve) working for the bar. Too many loose ends in the episodes thus far. Will we ever know why the same father who intentionally left half of the bar to Isabella never met her or talked about her (even though he attended her college graduation without ever meeting her...). Will we ever know what they're doing with Happy's house-sell it, let Isabella live there, etc.? Will we ever meet Isabella's mother? It's as if they have an idea, create an episode around it and then just totally forget about it. Yet, I'm still watching this... 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151052-s01e08-dear-jack/#findComment-8532543

I am watching this for Reba and Melissa. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151052-s01e08-dear-jack/#findComment-8532579
Irish Mermaid December 22, 2024 Share December 22, 2024 Quote I am watching this for Reba and Melissa. That’s why I started watching, but honestly at this point, I’m watching for Rex Linn. Emmett is my favorite character. Reba & Melissa, in my opinion, have unfortunately just not recaptured the magic from “Reba” yet. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151052-s01e08-dear-jack/#findComment-8538401

He might have others, but uses the bar as his “office”. With his germ issues, maybe he feels safe at the bar. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151052-s01e08-dear-jack/#findComment-8538493

But Reba and Melissa are still funny when she isn't around. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151052-s01e08-dear-jack/#findComment-8539191
Browncoat December 30, 2024 Share December 30, 2024 "Chewing ice" was another hilarious callback to OG Reba. But all the callbacks and Easter eggs also indicate that this show is trying too hard. I love the meta of it all, but it needs to develop its own jokes and memes and not rely so much on these crutches. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151052-s01e08-dear-jack/#findComment-8542931
