Writing Wrongs December 22, 2024 Share December 22, 2024 Interesting show. I was yelling at the idiots who passed up guaranteed money in order to possibly make it to the end. And at those sacrificing themselves for people they don't even know. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150914-beast-games-in-the-media/#findComment-8538686

There are 1,000 people to start. The odds of winning are minuscule. Take the money! And sacrificing yourself is only sensible if it comes with $$$ or you are keeping your spouse safe. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150914-beast-games-in-the-media/#findComment-8539547
Gemma Violet December 30, 2024 Share December 30, 2024 (edited) I watched the first three episodes and I'm all in for the season. It's really an intriguing game, fairly well-produced, obviously with no expense spared, but OTOH it's not easy watching the psychological manipulation. Writing Wrongs December 31, 2024 Share December 31, 2024 Episode 3 was painful to watch. I would probably have been stubborn and all 3 of us would've been eliminated. It's weird how out of hundreds of people, they only seem to focus on the same handful. Makes me think they are actors or something. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150914-beast-games-in-the-media/#findComment-8543599
jabRI January 8 Share January 8 Episode 4 was interesting. I don't understand all the gender bias in this day and age, baffles me. And the 'praying' guy, glad he's being called out for what he is. Gemma Violet January 27 Share January 27 Down to the top 12. Top 10 starts next week. I'll say one thing about this show--they have great cliffhanger endings. I get really into the episode and can't wait to find out what's going to happen, and then bam!--wait for next week's episode. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150914-beast-games-in-the-media/#findComment-8564889
DEL901 January 31 Share January 31 The guy that took the $650,000 just had to rat out his buddies, so if he couldn’t get to the end, neither will they. That said, I hope the four of them are eliminated. And, lol, does he not realize there is such a thing as taxes. He isn’t taking home as much as he thinks.. docmatt January 31 Share January 31 That was the biggest possible jerk move in the whole game. And watching him cry all night did not make him any more sympathetic. He's deservedly gone first and $223K guy is next Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150914-beast-games-in-the-media/#findComment-8568669

I'm only three episodes in but was flabbergasted that these four captains elected not to take ONE MILLION DOLLARS for the "greater good." These people are strangers to you, and 99% of them aren't going to win anything anyway! What about your family and your kids you could have helped with that kind of money, and how do you explain yourselves now after the show aired? "Yes, we could have gotten out of this crappy apartment and bought a nice house, yes you could have gone to any college you wanted, but it was for the GREATER GOOD!" Good grief! jabRI February 11 Share February 11 The guy that took the $650,000: I could maybe see taking his actual 'debt' for surrogacy, etc, but to also take enough to pay off your mortgage? dude, no one put a gun to your head and made you but a half a million dollar house. you pay that over time, not through an unearned windfall at the expense of others. that's where i lost all sympathy for him. Gemma Violet Thursday at 11:02 PM Share Thursday at 11:02 PM (edited) The final episode came out today. Wow, great episode, but the ending challenge didn't stretch out for a long time like we expected. The third place finisher was smart to take that million and have a sure thing instead of taking a chance. Glad the second place finisher was given a consolation prize. Congrats to the winner. Dobian Friday at 03:19 AM Share Friday at 03:19 AM The second challenge was completely disappointing. 947 was so caught up in getting the pattern right - which she nailed - that she neglected to check where the first square was located in the first row. I find it interesting that the final two were one number apart. The odds of the final two players having sequential numbers is 500-1. I could tell the way they dragged out the suitcases finale that it would be solved on the first try. Someone is good at reading poker faces.
