EtheltoTillie Saturday at 08:14 AM Share Saturday at 08:14 AM Frank tangles with the Mayor over some subway problem that I paid no attention to. Boring. Badillo gets in trouble for weed. Jamko fixes things. Danny and Baez solve case of a dead MMA fighter. Erin and Anthony investigate the case of a star law student who is found with felony weight of drugs. Gee, I couldn’t see Jamie filing a false report about filing a false report. Gray area. Oh well. Would a law student really plant drugs on another law student? Having been a law student, I say no. There are enough jobs for all the top students in the class. She’d have to be psychotic. 3 Link to comment

The officer who was beaten was negligent, and precipitated the mayor’s request for National Guard assistance (opening a whole can of worms). It was boring. Jamie taking the fall for blondie’s partner seemed out of character, but I figured he’s due to quit and use his law degree anyway. The law student planting the drugs reeeally needed to be top of the class, no matter how she got there (the type who no doubt prompted Shakespeare’s famous line). Next Friday, the behind scenes show should be interesting. It’s sandwiched between two eps we’ve already seen. Last episode the following week. I feel like cast, crew, writers are cruising through these last episodes-actors telling the story rather than acting, cars pulling up to scenes (no chases through traffic). Just seems like there’s no meat there. That said, I am looking forward to next Friday-behind the scenes special, sandwiched between two episodes we’ve already seen. EtheltoTillie Saturday at 04:34 PM Author Share Saturday at 04:34 PM I can see why Jamie wanted to help Badillo, because Badillo was helping his own late partner’s kid, but they should have come up with a better way. I guess the captain had already given the green light for shenanigans with that absurd rehab plan. @Daff I am blanking on whatever Shakespeare line you are referencing. Please remind me. 1 Link to comment

Snazzy Daisy Saturday at 06:41 PM Share Saturday at 06:41 PM In season 14 part 2, Frank has been accused of blackmailing twice already — by Mayor Chase and Grace Edwards. Am starting to see a pattern here. Let Mayor Chase deals with that lazy cop, Frank. He isn’t your problem anymore. Quote “You don’t work with anyone. You back people into a corner and then call it collaboration when they do what you want.” Are you talking about yourself, Mr. Mayor? 😆 Am glad Baez is back. The MMA fighter’s case isn’t that interesting but am just happy to see the pair together again. The weed fiasco is silly but at least we get to see the caring and empathetic side of Luis Badillo. Erin’s story is very straightforward. We know who the perp is from the get go. 2 episodes left… 😣 Link to comment
Sake614 Yest. at 12:06 AM Share Yest. at 12:06 AM I don’t even know what to say about this episode, other than I guess I’m glad the show is almost over. it’s so far past It’s sell by date it isn’t even funny. This thing should have been put out to pasture at least four years ago, probably more like eight. The stories are stale, the acting is bad…it’s like the cast doesn’t even care anymore. I don’t get the fuss about the national guard. They’ve been in the NYC subways since 9/11 so this isn’t anything new. Granted these days they’re mostly at the transit hubs like grand central and Penn Station, but they’re still around. They never actually rode the subways, they were just at the stations as. Deterrent. If the NYPD doesn’t want help, they need to hire more cops because there simply aren’t enough to be permanently deployed on the transit system AND patrol the streets. Link to comment

I remember way back when; when they had actual “transit cops.” 1 Link to comment
amarante 4 hours ago Share 4 hours ago The law student story is ridiculous. The difference in job opportunities between Number 1 and Number 2 are non-existent. Top ten gets you Order of the Coif and Number 1 and 2 and others a bit further down would be on Law Review based on first year grades. Link to comment
