agathapenny October 21 Share October 21 Dante is now totally fine with beating information out of people? What? Delilah continues to be one of the least interesting characters on TV. So Dante's going to be gone just long enough for Robyn to get entangled with her ex again. Did this show need a love triangle? 6 Link to comment
KWalkerInc October 21 Share October 21 When the "previously" scenes showed both Miles volunteering to help and then when he asked Robyn on a date, I groaned. I do like that Aunt Vi is not on board with it though. The excessive force used by Dante's team will probably be a contributing factor to him eventually (hopefully soon) deciding that it isn't for him and coming back. Bad Guy With Guns: "We'll deal with her later." Oh, great. Another recurring villain to pop up at some point in the future when no one wants to see them. (I'm still hoping that the writers will magically forget a certain character and the task force or whatever investigating Robyn and Fisk.) And wouldn't the kids still be in danger with these guys still out there? 4 1 Link to comment
stonehaven October 21 Share October 21 I found myself openly mocking the shooting scenes. The whole series seems to have lost that magic. I think the writing is on the wall when Tracker is the lead in to this. I think I'm out. I love the Queen but a love triangle and Vi being reduced to kitchen scenes is sad. 2 Link to comment
blackwing October 21 Share October 21 I'm glad the show is back, and I liked the CotW that showed that Robyn needs her team around her. The scenes with Dante in L.A. doing whatever he is doing just fell flat with me. The ex is moving in on his woman while he's stuck in L.A. on an assignment he didn't want. Cue worried face and boring "trying to call you" scenes. Ohs noes! Zzzzzzzz. Dante of course is going to quit his job with the police and join up full time with Robyn's team, which seems to be funded by independently wealthy Robyn and/or Mel. I can't blame the ex for wanting to be around his daughter, but why now? And his whole issue was with Robyn's job and what she does... nothing has changed there so why is he ok with it now? Needless drama. 4 Link to comment

Trini October 22 Author Share October 22 (edited) Well, I thought that was a good start to the season -- except for them attempting an unnecessary love triangle, as already noted. The other storylines they set up for the season seem like they could be interesting. This new gun trafficking villain might be how they connect Dante back to New York. Obviously kids/preteens shouldn't be driving cars, but I did kind of cheer when the boy rescued Robyn. If (when) Mel re-joins the team, it better not be because of guilt over Robyn. The only fashion highlight for me was Robyn's palm tree(?) 'camo' tracksuit. Her ponytail was awesome, too; but her ponytails are always awesome! Edited October 22 by Trini 3 Link to comment
