AnimeMania October 18, 2024 Share October 18, 2024 When a beloved teenager suddenly goes missing, the quiet neighborhood of Happy Hollow is turned upside down; a local high school metal band goes from being invisible to being grist for the gossip mill and becoming the hottest ticket in town. After a popular teenager goes missing, a local band rides that momentum to sell concert tickets. Chaos Theory October 19, 2024 Share October 19, 2024 (edited) Cable box died on me so I found this by accident. Wasn’t expecting much but 20 minutes in and I was loving it. Weird effects but whatever. And yeah nerdy guy letting a girl he has a crush on think he is a satanist is so highschool….but dude the gf is freaky. I think I’m in love. Some of the camera angels add a good deal of atmosphere. calliope1975 October 19, 2024 Share October 19, 2024 Same. The description read more comedy to me, but the cast was solid so I gave it a shot. Quite surprised by how much I liked it by the end of this first ep. Some of the styling felt authentic as well as some of teen actors being (mostly) believable from that time period. (Except for the Instagram faces.) I clocked a few bang situations I may or may have not rocked back in the day. Except for Anna Camp's wig. That was tragic. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150102-s01e01-hysteria/#findComment-8484804
tennisgurl October 21, 2024 Share October 21, 2024 I just randomly stumbled across this but this is a strong start. I thought based on the description that it would be more of a comedy and while there was certainly comedy it was more horror than expected, which I liked. Pretending to be a Satanist for a girl to like you is so cringe but so teenager. I was convinced at first that the freaky popular girl was the daughter of Anna Camp, but this just raises more questions. I thought it was weird that everyone was just talking about the missing boy and not the girl, so why was the satanic panic lady trying to hide that her daughter was missing? Is she really the mastermind? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150102-s01e01-hysteria/#findComment-8486879
Sarah 103 February 23 Share February 23 I loved that Dylan is a marketing genius and an idiot teenager. He has a real future in something related to marketing or advertising. He understands the importance of trends, branding, and image. He is brilliant in that respect. At the same time, he is also still a teenager so he did not fully think through the implications of capitalizing/exploiting the imagery of the pentagram and satanism.
