Everything is on the line as Zoe must save Chase's life, while Harper's misstep puts him in peril.

So they have flashbacks with a young Zoe just to show that she married into a family of gun lovers and would know to unlock a shotgun in a police office and kill the guy who was going to kill her and cause a lot of collateral damage?

Meanwhile, Julian who was falling in love and wanted out of the game has apparently been successfully recruited by Harold to protect Zoe. He arrives too late, she saved herself but now he's a chess piece on their side.

Harold's ex is a former British spy now working for the Chinese and he's going to use his influence with her to possibly save Dan, who avoids being gutted but doesn't have an antidote from the bio weapon he was exposed to.

Meanwhile it looks like Angela/Emily/Parwana not only didn't get killed but may have killed Pavlovich's soldiers back in Afghanistan.

They are juggling a lot of balls in the air at once.

Another rescue mission cliffhanger...

If Lou Barlow is a morally worse persona than Johnny, Lou must be a Triad middleman for:

• Heroin traffic
• Fentanyl traffic
• Human traffic
• Heroin, Fentanyl & Human traffic

So there goes Pavlovich.  This show keeps lining up new villains only to dispatch them in a couple of episodes.

Dan barely survives, takes a few months to recover, only to learn there are new villains.  The Old Man must feel like one of his dogs, chasing its own tail.

As I expected, Angela not only survives, she gets rid of the Russians.  She knows all about the lithium deposits now, after being in Afghanistan for 5 minutes?

How does she deal with the Taliban, who was going to come for their clan and the Meshebar deposits?  Oh another RIP, Hamzad’s sister and Parwana’s auntie.

So the cliffhanger to season 3 is to rescue Porter and eliminate Marion.  The way season 2 was plotted, that should take what, 2 or 3 episodes?

Meanwhile, it’s clear that Angela/Emily/Parwana will be the new boss bitch.

 

Okay this show is filmed in CA but the geography in the plot is all over the place.  Chase and Zoe went to London to find the lawyer, who was killed right away.  Chase lets himself be captured and he’s taken away, presumably to somewhere in the U.K.

Zoe was suppose to be in London police station, Julian picks her up there.  They go to some cartel meeting which is near where they held Chase?  But the place had cabanas.  Are there cabanas in the U.K.?

 Then this safe house, apparently back in the US.  Zoe goes to a public library to use the Internet and call her son.  She’s not trained in OpSec so of course Parwana finds the “safe” house.

Harold went to meet Marion which appears to be a Chinese city.  Marion works for some Chinese org or maybe the state.  So he’s being held in China?  How did Harold know in the first place that his ex-wife was part of this cartel?

This show likes to throw out place names like it likes to discard villains.

Marion lives in Hong Kong. Harold is now imprisoned somewhere nearby.

Bote provided exposition about Pavlovich and the cartel, but Harold needed the photo from Julian to confirm her involvement.

That was the season finale??  I doubt we'll  be back for another season. This was a nearly incomprehensible mess

The Chinese will perfect the salt batteries. Then where will they be? And where are they getting water to mine the lithium. Asking. Not sure. Funnily, the US and China have a lot of their own Lithium, although it is environmentally destructive to mine it. 
 

that said, I liked this season. I think this show had something, a pacing problem, maybe the first two seasons should have been one longer season. Which once was doable, right. The set up to the third season sounds like it would work better, we got people in place. But it may not happen.

Remember Dan always believes in what he does. He can do awful things for he does them for good. So Lou probably went wrong somewhere, saved the wrong guy or backed the wrong power.

You are right, the Hamzad enclave should be getting heat from the Taliban. Of course, they may be. Harper may be a side project for her. 
 

Harper saw a picture of his ex wife with ‘the Russian’ and other men. I was not sure if Chase and Zoe were in the UK or US. On a small private island.  It was Bote’s island, I thought, not Chase’s island.  I assume Chase and Zoey were settling because they thought Parwana was dead. I’m not sure how they would get to the island. . There would be cabanas in the Mediterranean, 

it doesn’t feel clear, the story is all over the place. If it was a movie maybe the loose ends could be trimmed. But the cast is good.

The Dixons were living in a safe house that belonged to Bote. The safe house was in the US, otherwise, driving to the diner would have been impossible.

Pavlovich brought Chase to a Greek island... the GPS co-ordinates that Zoe retrieved confirms this.

Bote must have a private jet - otherwise Julian would never get to England on time AND make it to Greece before Chase died.

I think Harper got Julian to England to protect Zoe. Bote is deas, so the network  must have been set up before his death. Julian may have some access, Zoey clearly has some. Maybe agreement with CIA? There must have been imnediate access to a medical helicopter for Chase and s hospital plane to take him to the US. He was apparently in a coma for some time, long enough for Zoe to get settled and learn the ropes.  
 

chase had a Alzheimers test in the first episode, made sense because of Abby. Man has secrets,  forgets things in this one. I think that may be an issue going forward. If there is a forward.
