Linda956 October 15 Share October 15 I never liked Mike Franks, but in comparison to the way he is portrayed here, he mellowed over the years. Here he's played as a sexist asshole. It's no wonder Gibbs picked up a lot of his traits. His first day on the job and he asks the woman (can't recall her name), if she's on "My Squad." 1 Link to comment

To me it was more like just asking if she was part of his team. Not necessarily part of HIS team as in he’s in charge. And she clearly had a bug up her ass about him joining NIS to begin with. I guess she was up for promotion or something and feels like Mike bringing Gibbs on board puts that in jeopardy? I dunno but I’m not sold on her. TAWP Franks was good casting, he reminds me a lot of older Franks. 9 Link to comment
Raja October 16 Share October 16 Compared to NCIS offices I was staring to think that every NIS Agent in America must be at Camp Pendleton. How many CI's are Navy investigators supposed to have? They were talking like they were the local police patrolling the community off the base. So we have pay phones and pagers, film and the lab doesn't move at the warp speed of CSI 4 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy October 16 Author Share October 16 I stopped watching NCIS once Mark Harmon left. So it’s good to see him (even for a bit) and hear him again. Apparently, it’s Lala Dominguez who introduces Gibbs to Bourbon. That definitely sticks. 2 Link to comment

So much THIS! And he isn't even credited in the episode itself! Not as "Special Guest Star" Nuthin! What Up Be with THAT? And as I posted in Part II, I don't understand why they didn't just cast Sean Harmon to play the Younger Gibbs. This dude they have is so not believable as a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs for me. Not that this show is good. It's not. And I posted why in Part II, so won't repeat myself here. But DAMN, do I miss seeing Mark on my screen. 2 Link to comment

He's a decent actor but isn't Harmon kind of tiny? I always had the impression he was smaller than DiNozzo and maybe even McGee. 1 Link to comment

At 6 foot college football quarterback, while not NFL sized he's not a smaller than average sized American male. 1 3 Link to comment
