Love it, hate it, or are just indifferent to it, it's still one of the most influential movies (for better or for worse) of that decade.

Pulp Fiction at 30: Quentin Tarantino’s masterwork remains electric.

I caught an airing on AMC recently - came in past the halfway point, around the time when Vincent shot that guy in the face while on the way to see Marcellus.  It felt like they cut a scene so I did a full rewatch from my VHS copy (yes I still have a VCR, lol) and found AMC cut a few minutes from the shooting to when they’re at Jimmy’s house hearing him complain about how much trouble he’d be in if his wife found out.  I don’t know if there’s any other cuts. 

Anyway, having recently watched the movie from start to finish for the first time in a number of years, yes I agree it deserves its status as an influential movie.  What’s fun (for me) is the non linear way the stories are told, plus the characters are not exclusive to their own stories without confusing the viewer.   

I’ve tried to watch other Tarantino movies and I can’t get into them.  There was a rumor floating around a while back that he’d direct a Star Trek movie - that would be something I’d love to watch.

Great movie, very much an iconic movie. Similar in nature to Reservoir Dogs, which its connected through the Vega Brothers.  I think that Tarentino took everyrhing great about Reservoir Dogs and fine tuned it with Pulp Fiction

I absolutely love Pulp Fiction, though it has been a while since I last watched it.

Funny story, I went to see this with a friend and then about a month or so later it showed up on our army post. It was a dollar theater type and we decided to go again. We're sitting there and suddenly this couple comes in with 2 little kids. Like way too young to be at this movie. I had one sitting next to me. As we came up on the gimp scene, I really wanted to cover the eyes of the kid next to me! But then I realized he'd already heard the f word about a 1000 times and everything else up to that point, so I figured if his parents were okay with all that, it wasn't my business! It was uncomfortable though!

I may need to watch it this weekend.

This is on my great soundtrack, okay film list.  (It's pretty high on my list of Tarantino films, but still just okay; the only one of his films I like enough to re-watch is Jackie Brown.)

Also "True Romance" which he wrote but didn't direct, is still very much a Tarantino film.

"Jackie Brown" was the last Tarantino film I really, really liked.  The later ones are watchable, but much less likeable, IMHO.

I didn't know he wrote True Romance. I never watched the movie but, ill try to find it.

This movie set my personal record: I saw it five times in theaters. (OK, the last two times were in a $1 theater, but still.)

And IMO the last great Tarantino flick was Inglorious Basterds, his last movie before his longtime editor Sally Menke died. I don't think it's a coincidence.
