Dowel Jones September 16 Share September 16 So let me get this right. After killing the two snowgoons, Till and Layton inexplicably leave their automatic weapons behind and choose to fight the rest of Nima's Numbnuts with crossbows and kitchen knives. I suppose it didn't really matter anyway, as the B Team had all the combat training of Boy Scouts. You're no Darth Vader, Nima (apologies to James Earl Jones, RIP). And now we have a throwback to S1E1. One Train! Link to comment
rmontro September 19 Share September 19 Next to the last episode, and only a few posts here. This series is whimpering to a close. Anyway. Feels kind of weird with Wilford and evil Phil Coulson (Milius) dead. Nima seems like an odd villain. I was kind of hoping Wilford was Alex's father, even though yeah that would have been too predictable, and wouldn't have really made much sense (since that meant Melanie would have chosen him). I'm curious to see how it all ends. I was hoping the rocket fixes the atmosphere despite what Melanie and Alex are saying about it, but maybe that's implausible. Maybe they'll come up with a last minute fix. Everyone could end up dead. Or maybe they all end up stuck back on the train, which I'd hate to see. Link to comment
Phillygurl September 20 Share September 20 Unfortunately the series is just a shell of what it once was. There are a few bright spots: Ruth, Oz, Roche, Till but honestly this was quite a disappointing season. The absence of Melanie for the majority of the season certainly did them no favors. I don't understand why all these soldiers would just mindlessly follow Milius and Nima as they were the subject of experimentation. And the previous admiral down on level 3? I feel like they could have given her a more prominent role to make up for Melanie's absence. Then we have Haywood experimenting on a defenseless baby??? That seems like bridge too far and has seemingly been swept under the rug. There is just so much that has been brushed over to try and bring us to a hasty conclusion of this series. I guess it's fine because we all know this is the end but still I wish it could stronger than this. Link to comment
Hanahope October 31 Share October 31 Yeah the long delay and of course questionable return caused viewers to drop the like the temps. The story isn’t bad but this season definitely had holes. Maybe Nima isn’t completely wrong, it’s hard to know for sure. Guess we will find out. But hard to support those that claim to want to save mankind but are just fine with killing the few surviving people around. im sure Alex is hoping that there isn’t too much nature or nurture in her considering what she’s has and had.
