davidcalgary29 August 31 Share August 31 (edited) This episode, Alyssa complies with her prompts and expertly stirs up faux drama by triggering Nehellenia! A little cattily and bitchily, I might add. But first, Ru enters the Werkroom to stick a dagger in viewers' hearts: it's time for the Girl Group challenge! She promptly sucks the fun out of the episode by announcing that the queens will be split into three groups who will each perform substandard mixes of a mediocre WoW IP track! Okay. The queens perform a schoolyard pick that functions as little more than foreshadowing for some Untucked bitchery. Production Riggory largely takes a backseat this week as the queens sabotage themselves, with Pythia and Vanity announcing that they're going to be in trouble. And they're correct! The rest of the queens claim that they'll be fine! And they're also correct. Except Miranda! On the main stage, the queens perform their numbers, with okay results. Only Pythia really does poorly, and after the queens torment us with a seizure-inducing runway of way too many reveals, she finds herself in the bottom with Vanity -- and Miranda, who really doesn't belong there. Pythia is ultimately yanked out of the bottom by the Judges, who clearly want to see more fashion, but first we move to Untucked. Alyssa is clearly bothered by her well- deserved safe placement -- she must really have blown most of her budget on last episode's runway -- and settles herself down by turning on Nehellenia, who dumbly rises to the bait by defending herself by making some valid points. While whining and making herself unlikeable. Her runway also sucked, I might add. Her work done, Alyssa settles back to enjoy the results. I don't like this side of Alyssa, although I'm also not really liking Nehellenia, either. It's a lose-lose for the audience! Vanity does a solid solo lipsynch while Miranda decides to skip the lipsynch and pay homage to Jimbo instead. But awkwardly and unsuccessfully. Congratulations, Vanity! Miranda then bans herself from Drag Con with an ominous promise on the way out. Say hello to Willam for us, Miranda! Next week: the threats continue as the audience is promised lots and lots of improv! Can't we just have another ball instead? Edited August 31 by davidcalgary29 2 Link to comment
SnapHappy August 31 Share August 31 (edited) Ok, I don't like Nehelli as much anymore. That passive-aggressive crap annoys me to no end. There still so much race left, she needs to put the brakes on those paranoid delusions. Alyssa started out SO well, praising her group, I didn't expect her to turn so quick on Nehelli. But it wasn't too treacherous, just a bit snarky. And of course she felt she should have won the challenge. This was the first time I realized Aly shaved her head, I didn't catch it in the previous episodes, but in that gorgeous turquoise satin suit, she really turned it out and it was kinda amazing to see. I'm SO in love with Kitty, though I can't stop seeing late comedian Chris Farley in his early, adorable years. But without so much lip gloss! And she's just flat-out hilarious! I wonder if she's going to do Adele in "Snatch Game"? I'd love to see that. I'm liking Vanity a lot and strangely love the Swedish accent. She's got potential I think. Poor Miranda just wasn't well enough for the stress & strain. It was a good try! Edited August 31 by SnapHappy Link to comment
TVbitch September 1 Share September 1 Hi @davidcalgary29, would you be so kind as to tell me what ominous promise Miranda made on her exit, I could not make it out. Also, did she disclose what medical condition she has? She was talking about dealing with pain, but if she said why, I missed it. I am also finding Kitty adorable. 1 Link to comment

She said "I will bring flowers to your funeral". She was burned by her mother as a child and will ultimately lose the use of her arm. Edited September 1 by davidcalgary29 1 1 Link to comment

That seemed to me like a clumsy translation of a BrazilianPortuguese idiom. Something like, "I'm not defeated, I'll outlive you all" or some such. I could be way off base though. violet and green September 2 Share September 2 Oh, I adore Miranda. So sad she's out so soon. Good to see Kitty Scott-Claus getting some appreciation for her comic timing. Link to comment
Kaboom 2.0 September 2 Share September 2 I feel for Miranda, it's a shame she is out so early. I am glad Kitty got the win, she was so great! Nehellenia really annoyed me, I hope I don't have to start muting her to get through the upcoming episodes. I've already forgotten what most of the runway looks were but I do recall being confused by some of them. 2 Link to comment

Although, none of them were also Brazilian. It just doesn't make any sense that she'd threaten someone on this kind of stage. Occam's razor suggests a misunderstanding/miscommunication. bluvelvet September 14 Share September 14 Sad to see Miranda go. I fell bad for Nelly, she was correct. Alyssa had her potentially in the bottom and when she said she got good critiques … 1 Link to comment
