wenhiku August 5 Share August 5 Just finished the season. Sigh. It did not live up to season one, and made me miss Victor Fresco's Better Off Ted even more. I would have liked more Ruby and Luna lab banter instead of the rift between them that lasted too long. Phil and Lemm (Better Off Ted) did the lab buddy friendship so well. Leslie got tiring by the end and the Georgia character is so unlikeable that I was offended that "they" were trying to make her redeemable. Jackson deserves so much better. The real estate episode was better than the other last few, but when the credits rolled on this episode my watching mates and I were all pretty disappointed. Oh well, season 3 anyone? 3 Link to comment
iMonrey August 15 Share August 15 Agreed. Season 1 was better. I got genuine laughs out of the first season. This one, maybe a few chuckles. I pretty much share your assessment of the particulars, @wenhiku - particularly about Leslie. But then I've never been a big fan of Fred Armisen. I'd still tune in for a Season 3 though. The dynamic between Rob Lowe & Son is engaging and fun. 2 Link to comment
Irish Mermaid August 18 Share August 18 Yeah, that was a letdown overall. Some good moments sprinkled throughout, but definitely a Sophomore Slump for the season as a whole. Not looking forward to a political slant in S3 - real world politics are already absurd enough, anything they try will likely not be all that outrageous. Hopefully, that angle was just to sell merchandise and they’ll abandon that idea before it returns. 2 Link to comment
TVbitch August 23 Share August 23 This is probably one of the shows that only thought it would be one season, was suprised to get a second season, and then really didn't know what to do with it. Hopefully if there is a third, if will be better. Get rid of Iris Apatow's Georgia for starters! Maybe they can show Anna's life outside the office, cuz they need to give Sian Clifford's character more to do than her usual one note. 1 Link to comment
