Bookworm13 May 6 Share May 6 I don’t know what this says about me, but I was fascinated by the main case. It reminded me of going to a museum probably 20 years ago when they had a human body exhibit and it was very similar to what we saw here. Were they trying to imply the killer randomly killed his girlfriend with his changing story about how she died? I’m not convinced the Dr’s assistant(?) wouldn’t be brought back as a bad guy in the future had this gotten picked up for another season. There were too many hints that made me think it was more than just a misdirect. Also creepy to learn it’s apparently not that hard to remove the nervous system from a body. 2 Link to comment
milkyaqua May 6 Share May 6 How is it so many of these shows have computer systems that can be hacked? I know hacking is a real life thing but come on, how many times does it have to happen to the same lab? I think the only one that was worse was the NCIS shows. 2 1 Link to comment

I think they were just wondering why the story changed, then realized it was just a story. That may be why they kept harping on "What's her last name?"--partially to check to see if he did have something to do with the death and partially to see if there really was a girlfriend. 1 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy May 6 Author Share May 6 The plastinated nervous system and plastinated cardiovascular system are creepy and disturbing but that’s about it. The COTW is promising at first but it’s rushed and overwhelmed with forensic and medical jargons. We have only met the killer briefly during the interview of witnesses. Then during interrogation, he has to explain everything to the CSIs (and to the viewers). It’s obvious that his character is underdeveloped, not enough for us to care. Josh is underused in this episode. Max too. She spends most of her time with the pet robot, thinking about DNA and the robotics murder mystery. With 2 episodes left, she doesn’t even have a suspect yet. The Crime Lab gets hacked again, only this time by malware hidden in the artificial DNA. Been there, done that. Remember the Silver Ink Killer arc? 😏 2 Link to comment
vibeology May 7 Share May 7 This lab doesn't have one air-gapped computer that they can use to look at potential evidence? Painful. I enjoyed the main case up until the end which felt rushed. It was the guy we already met and he had a dead girlfriend but that was a lie. And he worked at the one dealership but I guess also worked at the other garage to have access to it. But he then brought the body to his first workplace where he had a known connection. It just didn't work with the time left in the episode. One thing I appreciated was how they made the victim's fake art look like it would be real, popular art. Sometimes when a show needs to create art, it doesn't work. Also, if I owned a car dealership and the cameras were taken out in an attempted robbery and then a portion of a dead body showed up hanging from my building, I would rush to get new cameras set up. That's too many crimes to not think I'm being targeted. I don't think that woman was kidnapped. I think she staged her own kidnapping. Hopefully we find out everything in the finale and aren't left with a brutal cliffhanger at the end of this show. 1 Link to comment
slowpoked May 9 Share May 9 Just saw this episode last night on Paramount. How was the killer able to make the those sculpture-like poses without ruining the organ systems? They looked so fragile to me. Like the cardiovascular system for example - how was he able to make it look like that kneeling sculpture without breaking most of it? Link to comment
