Spade gets more than he bargained for when he questions his eccentric neighbors, and learns more about the boy's mysterious abilities; Teresa continues her investigation alone; Jean-Pierre faces his past and confronts Philippe.

In the flashback, it’s shown that Gabrielle (and friends including Patrice) shot her husband, Jacques for betraying the country and trying to flee to Argentina. Philippe and his mother witnessed the killing from their home.

The masked intruders who break into Sam’s house are working for army intelligence - SDECE, looking for Philippe and Teresa. Philippe was supposed to take Zayd to Paris but he went rogue. If Zayd is so valuable and important, why would SDECE trust a person like Philippe to protect him, of all people?

The interrogation scene is interesting. Sam is so commanding without having to leave his seat while reading the soldier’s face.

After finding a dead soldier in his pool, Sam finds out that Henri is a sublieutenant assigned to stay close to him and Teresa.

Sam and Patrice begin to realize the yappy duo - George and Cynthia are shady AF. Finally. What takes Sam so long to recognize their intrusive behaviors?

So, the dying man who wants to meet Marguerite is Jean Pierre’s father, Denis. Is it really necessary to provide Jean Pierre with such a detailed backstory? 🙄

What more did we learn about Zayd's mysterious abilities?  That he really really likes to write numbers close together?

We did learn something about Jean Pierre's motivations when he met with his former army comrade.

That was a compelling scene, one by one, citizens coming out of the shadows!

It seems like he's an integral part of the plot, so we'll see.

With only two more episodes, the various storylines are beginning to come to a resolution, so all the questions we have - e.g., what was going on at the convent?  what are the artist and his mother involved in?  -  are beginning to get resolved, so as the plot thickens, things also start to make sense.

The scene where Gabrielle and the others shot her husband was wonderfully noir.

If I am following it right although we mostly are hearing from Sam that Philippe might have run away from the law by going into the army. While there he had been promoted to sergeant in a special operations team.

For all the PTS symptoms they are showing us the French didn't appreciate that he had seen and done to much in Algeria.
