Nothing much to further the plot until that dramatic home invasion.

At this point, the Algerian boy (Zayd) arc still doesn’t pique my interest. The scribbles are intriguing but the plot lacks suspense and urgency. It feels like the show is intentionally delaying the moment of Sam finding him.

Same goes to Philippe’s character. Making him shady and mysterious doesn’t make him interesting. He’s always in the flashbacks, not in the present.

What’s with Marguerite and the mysterious visitor with a message from a dying man?

Helena should’ve locked Gabrielle’s room. Teresa has no respect for other people’s belongings. Gosh, ungrateful TV teens are so annoying. 😣

Henri, a grown man expressing his lust for a 15yo, then proceeds to give her a back rub. WTF? And his grandma is OK with it? Don’t tell me it’s a French thing.

George and his “mom” are professional spies? Nahhh, I don’t buy it. Someone must have hired them to plant the bug. Are they working for Philippe or the Vatican’s secret society?

The person responsible for the attack at Sam’s house must have wanted to take Teresa as leverage. Sam will have to find Zayd for an exchange.

Zayd has a French military gun with him. Who has access to that kind of gun? Jean-Pierre, Henri and maybe Philippe. The Imam is right when he says that Zayd is already saying a lot with his scribbles. Nobody listens to him, but maybe Sam will.

They have left us in the dark with the plot and story progression so much and then move everything along at rapid pace toward the end of each episode to keep us coming back. It really annoys that the translation captions of two line lengths disappear before you can read and absorb them, but then you’re left to think about the innuendo as well. @Snazzy Daisy has pretty much identified all the questions, but the entire presentation has been too scattered and random.

I thought the first episode was so good, and then have been let down since.

Positively NOT rewatch fodder, with very few sympathetic or even likable characters. Often found myself not really giving a hoot enough to even keep them straight.
