Snazzy Daisy December 23, 2023 Share December 23, 2023 This is a painful, depressing episode to watch. Yesim Cetir has been butchered. The scene where Nate flipping through Yesim’s sketchbook is well done. Seeing the difference between each pages, it’s heartbreaking. 💔 Damn you, Paolo and your empty promises! 🤬 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/142247-s02e05191/#findComment-8248108

Watching her health degrade was is just heartbreaking. I imagine the difficulty of her father watching his daughter essentially change into a person different from how she went in as a result of her deteriorating health. 😢 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/142247-s02e05191/#findComment-8248481

Surprisingly, she blamed Nate and not Paolo. 😣 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/142247-s02e05191/#findComment-8248553
shelley1234 December 24, 2023 Share December 24, 2023 Paolo butchers Yesim and then vanishes...leaving Nate to deal with the carnage. That is of course by Paolo's design. All the glory, none of the consequences or responsibility. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/142247-s02e05191/#findComment-8248863
preeya December 27, 2023 Share December 27, 2023 I do not know the inner workings of the medical field, but 167 surgeries seem like a bit much. Does this fit into the opening disclaimer that certain parts have been fictionalized for dramatic purposes? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/142247-s02e05191/#findComment-8250343

Does this fit into the opening disclaimer that certain parts have been fictionalized for dramatic purposes? I read about Yesim Cetir after finishing the series. Her ordeal, as shown in this show, seems to have been real, down the number of surgeries. That is probably the most heartbreaking story I've ever read. Paolo butchered that young woman, and she really suffered for it. Edited December 27, 2023 by AntFTW 1 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/142247-s02e05191/#findComment-8250409
Johnny Dollar March 7 Share March 7 Yesim actually had 191 surgeries not 167 (hence the title of the episode). What an absolutely heartbreaking episode. The hospital administrator who covered for this hack should be in prison. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/142247-s02e05191/#findComment-8306720
Lakebum July 1 Share July 1 191 surgeries is accurate. However, how they defined “surgeries” matters. Some relatively minor procedures are legally defined as “surgery.” (Which is not to diminish Yasmin’s ordeal, which was horrific. And, given the trauma she had to endure, even those relatively minor surgeries —if there were any — probably took an incredible toll on her already battered body.)
