The Race has already begun filming yesterday.

The starting line is at the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles.

There is a first task in Biltmore Hotel before heading to Bangkok, Thailand, the first destination city.

This part comes from TAR 32 spoiler summary as it was the last complete season was done pre-COVID filming. This marks the return of standard around the world travel with regular air travel such as commercial flights and public transportation (including taxi and trains).

RFF has the information (I can't access through RFF that it needs to register/log in).

Where are you getting sources for Romania, Malaysia, and San Antonio? Things require sources here.

I don't think so. But due to lack of sightings in some legs, there might be a case of missing leg(s), such as the possible missing leg between Can Tho (Vietnam) and Jaipur (India); and the leg between Slovenia and Sweden.

By the way, there could be a Mega Leg in Slovenia that would have 2 Detours, 2 Roadblocks and a Pit Stop, filming took place only for a day. A total of 11 legs includes 1 Mega Leg (that would be a total of 12 single legs).

Since this upcoming 36th season where an every leg faces an elimination for the last team, there are no non-elimination legs throughout the Race, as in case there will be a Mega Leg for one of the legs.

As for the final leg, filming takes place on July 7. I believe San Antonio, Texas would be a good location for the finale that has stunning landmarks such as The Alamo, Tower of the Americas and the famous River Walk. SATX has never been in the Race as the show visited Texas twice in the city of Dallas (and surroundings). The finale will be in a random US region that is going to take place. (see latest post below)

Here is the list of finales representing the US region in the Race:

  • S35: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Northeast)
  • S34: Nashville, Tennessee (South)
  • S33: Los Angeles, California (West); it was originally to take place in Indianapolis, Indiana (Midwest) but relocated to LA due to COVID protocols in that season's production restart
  • S32: New Orleans, Louisiana (South)
  • S31: Detroit, Michigan (Midwest)
  • S30: San Francisco, California (West)
  • S29: Chicago, Illinois (Midwest)

The race hasn't had a Pacific Northwest finish since TAR 13 when Portland, Oregon had its finish on that season.

San Antonio ruled out; Seattle is confirmed as the final city

This is a SPOILER thread. Saying San Antonio 'would be a good location for a finale' is not a spoiler. It's speculation/wishlist. You do this every season.  There is also no evidence to support Romania.

Updated route summary:

  1. Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭 from Los Angeles, California: June 13-15
  2. Can Tho, Vietnam 🇻🇳 via Ho Chi Minh City: June 17-18
  3. Missing leg between Vietnam and India (rumored to be Kuching, Malaysia 🇲🇾): June 19-20
  4. Jaipur, India (includes Amer/Amber) 🇮🇳: June 22

  6. Rüdesheim am Rhein and Cologne, Germany 🇩🇪 via Frankfurt: June 26
  7. Ljubljana, Slovenia 🇸🇮: June 29

  10. Stockholm, Sweden 🇸🇪: July 3
  11. Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪: July 5
  12. Seattle, Washington 🇺🇸: July 7

The Mega Leg of this season could be Slovenia as filming took place on June 29, teams have arrived from Cologne via Munich on a train station. The first half might involve via foot travel (by walking) throughout the city of Ljubljana.

Its only have 9 rumored countries in which 7 of those are confirmed countries.

Romania is not rumored at all. And Kucing appears to be the Australian version, which is apparently inexplicably spending half its season hopping around Malaysia.

The actual route per multiple sources seems to be:

Legs 1 and 2: Bangkok and surrounds, Thailand

Leg 3: Can Tho, Vietnam

Leg 4: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Legs 5 and 6: Jaipur and surrounds, India

Leg 7: Cologne, Germany

Leg 8: Rural Slovenia

Leg 9: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Leg 10: Stockholm, Sweden

Leg 11: Dublin, Republic of Ireland

Leg 12: Seattle, Washington

@SnideAsides I don't think Kuching isn't going to appear in the upcoming Aussie version at all. But that version will visit Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur. That version will also have different places in India particularly Delhi, Agra and Varanasi. Although that version was filmed a week before our 36th season and this will be entirely racing in Asia.

It seems Ho Chi Minh City is only serving a transit point of the Vietnam leg, the majority taking place in Can Tho. Since Can Tho's airport doesn't have a direct flight from or to HCMC, but it takes 4-5 hours by bus with a dozen of stops.

I think the leg after Jaipur will be somewhere in Western India (Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai or Pune), this is for the second Indian leg. The country has visited seven provinces and one territory (Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Telangana) throughout the entire Race series.

Remember, there will be a Mega Leg for one of the legs. There will be one city per every leg similar to the current Canadian Race.

Regarding to SnideAsides's post, the leg in India took place in four days with confirmed sightings in Jaipur (June 22) and nearby surroundings within at least 60 miles from Jaipur (June 24), they left India in the early morning hours of June 26 to Germany. The Germany leg filmed in the afternoon and early evening of June 26. They arrived from India via Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
