Weird ending to the season. It felt like 50 passed the final scene to WWE writers to create some fresh bullshit.

How did Diana/Dru know about Tommy being alive, to give the letter to Kate knowing Tommy will come from wherever he was hiding to attempt to kill Tasha and that will motivate Tariq to kill Monet? How did Diana know where Kate lives for all this to play out as it did. How many red wigs does Monet have? Did Tariq "Pillow talk" all the Book One history to her in one night?!!! These writers are Wild!!!!!!.

Brayden to the rescue from Obi's call. Why not just call Tariq and let him in on the plan? Obi lost a perfect chance to eliminate all of them at one time and take Noma's business and get revenge for his scar.

So, Brayden had enough time to write a suicide note after leaving Lucas' penthouse. Keke wasn't fooled but the NYPD bought all this and no security camera seeing Brayden leave. I guess "Case Closed"!!!!!!!

How are there no agents questioning Tariq at the hospital for why he was in the witness house or about the dead agents or did they not find 2-Bit's car to question him. Tariq should be in serious trouble, but it's passed by. What!

Noma pretty much got a confession from Monet that she killed Mecca and her "punishment" is to be given a top position in her empire and it's "Obi Wan Cutme" is the one that gets slashed in the face (for being Obi). Unreal!!!!!!! Monet should have been shot. What a waste seeing the other people questioned, killed or tortured and this didn't play out with Monet.

Kate thinks Tariq is a good kid. Did Kate start drinking early that day?

Now Saxe is sending a letter to Agent Young. When did they meet? maybe once briefly?!! Why of all agents and not Blanca or Medina?

"Two Trading Places motherfuckas"....... "Put your Bevis and Buttheads together"......"Dru ! You will not be an NBA housewife!" Some funny lines this episode!

A few episodes back, Jenny told Lauren her parents were in protective custody too. This episode, Davis said they were back in town after Effie was arrested. So, Jenny thought the entire threat was over before the trial?? She knew Tariq and Cane was part if this, not just Effie. And of course, Cane goes to their house to hold them hostage so Lauren can recant. As predicted, Jenny ruined her entire case due to letting the patents go free. Jenny should be fired!

That female guard always gives creepy vibes. She did it with Tasha and now Effie by leaving the door open.

Tariq told Tasha he learns that killing leads to more problems. Did he learn that after he told Brayden to kill his uncle but somehow forgot the message when he agreed to kill Monet!!!!!! Earlier, Tariq was about to blast Monet until Obi stopped him.

Tommy and Tasha made up. How sweet!!!!!!!!! "I'm an Uncle Now Tasha"....."What!"

Once again the protective detail shined by letting Lauren sneak out and allowing Tasha to disappear long enough so she can steal a car, get a gun, try to kill Monet and have time to sit in the park to meet Tariq. And Tasha will return (No questions asked)

Just one more turn to go and that Rubic's cube was going to be solved by Lucas and Brayden had to destroy his dream. Damn!!!!!!

Not sure why Lauren had to meet Effie. She gave this fake tough talk to Effie as if she wasn't going to recant but Lauren already knew she was going to do it anyway. She should have just gone to the prison to tell Effie "Chill! I got this!!!!! You'll be out tomorrow. Then we can have our knife fight... Bitch!!!".

For some reason, Jenny let Lauren go and not press any charges for perjury? Again, Jenny should be fired!

I hope Lauren doesn't come back. It wouldn't make sense if she was still enrolled at Stansfield next season.

Noma's daughter (Anya Covington) is at NYU and just happens to be Tariq's age. next season, Tariq and her will meet. Possibly, another love interest for him.

So, after that little heart to heart conversation, Diana changed her mind, wanted to go back in the house so Tariq wouldn't shoot her. I hope Diana is the first Tejada to go next season!!!!!!!! Dru second!

Tasha has to take part blame messing this up for Tariq. She thought he would be in the clear after she killed Monet and Tariq could just go back to school. Thank heavens Yaz wasn't the getaway driver.

Of all the people making an attempt to kill Monet, I would have thought Papa and Trace Weston or Salim or Noma would be on top of the list.

Tasha would have been better off trying to kill Noma.

Tariq thinks he learned from all of Ghost's mistakes. Ok!

As Cane, Diane and Dru made their "backstabbing" appearances to Tariq, was Effie in the restroom washing her hands and fixing her face????!!! How convenient she happened to arrive just as Tariq made a threat to Noma's daughter. So dramatic are these writers!

Looks like Brayden shot Cane.

Does Tommy have a GPS tracker on Tariq. After Tariq leaves Kate, Tommy just knew where to find Noma's hideout to talk to Tariq. Good Grief!

Monet taking the painting was funny. "It even has your name". I think that was the second time Monet smiled since Season one.

With Brayden's disgust for his family, I was surprised he didn't help bring more paintings and other valuables to Cane's SUV.

Harper must have super hearing, or she knows Davis is a dirty lawyer by one look at him. Once she heard those magic words "Large sum of money to my campaign" she knew it was evil Tate time, and the engagement is over!!!!!!!!!! Tate needs to find better places to have corrupt meetings were Harper or Brushandria can't see or hear him.

Was Jenny wearing a wig in the court room hair looked different as if the scene was shot at a different time.

Next season, I wonder who will team up with Tariq and Brayden to go to war. Maybe Davis, Keke and RSJ. I doubt it would be Tasha and Tommy.

This entire episode was bonkers! But I have to say I was not expecting every single character turning on Tariq, with the exception of Brayden who know stays strapped and doesn't have a problem shooting people since he pushed his uncle off a balcony. I generally think the writers of this show are shit, but they got me with that last scene. Well played Power Ghost writers, well played!

Alright, here I go!

My biggest takeaway from this episode is that Monet's kids are impulsive as fuck! One minute, they want to get away from Monet. The next minute, Monet's back in their good graces. Then, Monet is public enemy #1 and they want her dead. Then, she takes bullets for Diana so now they love her again.

So... Diana (and presumably, the rest of the Tejada kids) know of Tommy well enough to know where his mother lives and knows that Tommy is alive. They know enough about Tommy and Tasha's situation to know that Tommy would go after Tasha for snitching on Tommy. I have a problem with that. I need those dots connected.

Tariq driving around in 2-bit's car makes me chuckle.

So everyone is plotting to kill Monet is this episode. Dru, Diana, Tariq, and surprisingly Tasha.

In that conversation with Cane, Dru and Diana talking about Monet... I feel like Cane was the only one that made sense. They're drug dealers! Get used to it! None of them are going anything else! They still live in Monet's house(s), uses' Monet's money, and they don't do shit else. It ain't like they got other jobs, or other training, or other education. As of right now, they have zero prospects for making money outside of Monet.

The scene of Cane and Monet "repoing" the Westons' paintings was kinda funny.

I think that marshal that escorted Effie to her cell was the same one that we saw in the earlier season when Tasha was locked up. Did we know she was crooked then?

Harper has super hearing and can hear Tate making a shady deal with Davis in this loud ass room with all these people and music playing, but Cane and Dru can't hear shit in a quiet room with no one talking????

Jenny... you let Lauren talk to Effie and you don't know how they got to her? mmhmm...

Brayden needs to stop feeling guilty. He said his family would never be the same and "we run people's lives" and yeah, sure, you do.... but that is separate from Uncle Weston. His family will never be the same not because Brayden sells drugs but because Uncle Weston got caught operating a Ponzi scheme.

So... Brayden is out. Then Diana pulls Tariq in on a plan to kill Monet. Dru and Cane are supposedly not in on this plan (...or so she says to Tariq). Then, OG Tasha takes it upon herself to take out Monet.

Ultimately, Dru and Diana come up with a plan to kill Monet. To give Tariq a reason to kill Monet, Diana poses as Monet and delivers the Saxe letter to Kate. Then, they predict Tommy would find and kill Tasha. Supposedly, word would get back to Tariq that Monet is the one that told Tommy where Tasha was, and therefore, Tariq would retaliate against Monet.

That's a risky plan because there was never a guarantee that Tariq would go to Kate. Otherwise, what reason is there for Tariq to believe or assume that Tommy got Tasha's location from Monet? I think he would have thought Tommy got a letter from Saxe, like 2-Bit did.

So Effie's government name is "Josefina Morales." Interesting.

So Tariq's trust is gone, so I assume he didn't have control of Yaz's inheritance.

So Diana and Dru are in a box. They have to go along with this story now that they put it out there. Tariq wasn't expecting the double-cross by Diana. Cane, Diana, and Dru are now against Tariq, and also Effie, surprisingly, is against Tariq. Then, Brayden comes in at the last minute to save Tariq. Turns out, Obi, called Brayden to take Tariq... okay then.

Brayden might want to move his family because everyone knows where they are. The Tejadas can't stop breaking into their house and taking their shit.

The Power writers are writing like they ain't got time.

That's a lot of faith put in Brayden's scared ass.

I missed that she wanted to go back in the house the first time I watched. That's why I can't keep up with them. They can't seem to figure out whether they want Monet gone or not.

This seems like her sendoff. One less girl on the Tariq train... maybe to be replaced by Noma's daughter next season 🤣

The writers must have thought they were so clever with this one. "High Fives" all around!!!!!!!

Tasha has been sitting in a Witness Cabin/ house for a long time and once she gets a little freedom, her first action is to pull off a drive by without knowing much about Monet. They met briefly in the cemetary with no issues. I could see Tasha going there to talk about Tariq but shooting doesn't seem to be Tasha's style. I am not sure what Tariq told her to try to resolve matters in the way.

Diana is off to college and she had to ask Monet's permission to transfer.

It was. I got the feeling Brayden let them in.

Not crooked but creepy to me. I always got the vibe she was going to make a move on Tasha in the shower or alone in her cell.

Looking back on that scene, is the guard on Monet's payroll or Cane's? The guard left the door open so Effie can be attacked. So, is she the one the left the phone to warn Effie that Monet is after her or another guard? That warning on the phone came from Cane. It doesn't make sense, just let Effie be attacked with no warning.

It's too bad we never got the true weight of Lucas' and Brayden's relationship. That could leave a scare on him for a long time.

Brayden! Finish the Rubic's cube for Lucas.

I think it's separate. We will see it come to plan in "Power - Book 13 - Yaz the Real St. Patrick". Yaz will reclaim "Truth".

I didn't see what Obi was doing during the shooting. He could/should have popped Noma.

I can see this is where Diana gets Rebecca involved to find out Brayden's whereabouts. She better keep one eye open sharing a room with Diana. If the Weston's are smart, they need to have Diana kicked out the dorm.

Obi has to know Brayden isn't a shooter. Why place a call to him thinking he would come through.

Jenny was the biggest threat to the RICO case and she delivered!

If Tameika and Saxe can be fired, why not Jenny? How many chances can she get?

I hear Michael Ealy will be on the show next season as a NYPD detective leading elite drug task force. Let's see if he can get better results than Jenny, Blanca and Whitman.

I hope so. I got a funny feeling the next time we see Lauren, she will be in law enforcement.

I too feel Noma's daughter will be introduced next season. Two women are not enough for Tariq!!!!!!

Yup. 2-Bit tips the balance to Tariq's and Brayden's favor in this war. He is the integral piece. LOL

It definitely does cause they all should've turned on him in Season 1! I was surprised because I didn't think the writers would go there on their golden boy.

I have to say the season did end with a bang.

Yes there where plot holes (Whitman, the file on Lorenzo, Diana knowing Tommy was alive etc) but I loved Effie working with Noma and everyone turning on Tariq!

Edited to add- for the record I always liked Effie. Diana is smart too, but Effie has a realism about her that Diana doesn’t (likely cause Diana is the baby and had a loving family). I think Effie’s biggest fuck up was letting Tariq get in her head, but she’s only human and she was lonely.

Monet and Noma finally met. It was a lot more uneventful than I would've expected.

Did Tariq actually expect Tommy's mother to give up her own son? What an idiot.

Monet and Cane are going to pawn an actual Monet. Cute. The show only waited three seasons to play that joke card.

Davis was on target. Every woman who gets with Tariq pretty much loses her mind. It's him, it's he, he's the problem it's him.

Lol, Cane waving Brayden's dad's fancy watch in Brayden's face.

Wah, wah, Harper. You knew Tate was a money-grubbing snake the first 937 times you caught him demanding money in exchange for his political influence

Oh of course Noma's daughter is a college student in NYC. How convenient.

Wait, what? Tasha rolled up on Monet. But geez, she should've given Tariq a heads up so he could've avoided getting set up by Diana and Dru to do the hit.

How long are the little truth bombs from Cooper Saxe going to keep arriving? That plot device has already gotten stale IMO.

So sick of Noma. I think Tariq needs to talk Obi into helping him get her out of the way., permanently.

Phew, since things are so hot for them in NYC right now, are Tariq and Brayden going to go visit Tommy in Chicago for a while? I sure hope not because I've liked that Power book so far.
