Has towns and homes  burn around them … but seriously how close are the fires to this town.. sometimes it seems super close like when Blake’s house was burned down I mean she went to school with these guys so the house would have to be in the town right?  but then the towns just throwing the ragers like nothing is going on

I get the impression she doesn’t have a phone because her family is too broke.

That’s what my Mom said, but in episode 1 her father asked her to call her mother because she would only pick up if she knew it was her. I think she had a phone once upon a time but gave it up due to a bullying thing. If they were too broke for a phone her father wouldn’t have expected her to have one.

While I am enjoying the style of this show, the cinematography is nice and they use silence well, it needs to pick up the pace. This entire episode could’ve been shorted and been the first 1/3 of the THIRD episode. We only have 8 episodes!! I was thinking this pacing reminded me of 22episode orders on network tv, and how slow things moved. Before The Vampire Diaries went to shit, I did admire how quickly plot lines moved. This show needs some of that energy.
