I stand corrected. It sure looks like it was made by the same company, but apparently not. Different shipyard, and different planet, even.

Maybe it's the look of a particular era. With cars, a car from the 1950s is going to have a distinct look that is different than a car from the late 1960s, even though they may be made by different companies. Maybe we are seeing the Star Wars spaceship version of that.

Cassian getting back to that vacation spot was too easy.  I expected at least an episode or even a 3 episode arc getting back.

I hope we see Cassian's fellow inmate again, and I was glad he wasn't killed off for kicks.  Who does he think he can tell about the prison?  We didn't even find out where he came from.

Luthen has been slipping lately, but that escape was very cool.

If Bix ID'd the wrong guy as Axis, then that could buy Luthen some time.  I hope she gets rescued, since we need a bit of hope on this show.  I also hope Cassian's big friend doesn't get hurt.

Now, Karn is stealing from Mommy Dearest.  He deserves to be shackled at the kitchen table eating his blue cereal until he chokes.

I too liked Vel's scene with Mon.  Hopefully, Vel won't be trigger happy with Cassian despite Luthen's orders.

I too was surprised Maarva died offscreen.  I would have liked to see her character for a lot longer, but I'm glad she wasn't tortured by Dedre.

And I really hope Cassian doesn't go to the funeral, but surely, that is going to be the big climax.

Melshi has the same plot armor that Cassian has.  How much of his journey from the moment he and Cassian part to the events of Rogue One is yet to be determined.

Something that struck me upon a recent rewatch: When Melshi and Cassian part, it may be one of the first times that it wasn't Cassian who instigated the parting. There's talk throughout the series about how he runs away or leaves when things are rough. We saw him split after the Aldhani heist. But this time, he wasn't the one suggesting they split up, and he didn't ditch Melshi as soon as they were safe. Not that Melshi's idea to split up so they can spread the word was the equivalent of Cassian's tendency to take off and I don't think he was wrong to suggest it, but it is interesting that, for once, it wasn't Cassian wanting to split up. Would he have wanted to stick with Melshi if Melshi hadn't suggested splitting up, or was he on the verge of suggesting that, himself, after getting the news about Maarva? He'd just learned some important things about teamwork and how important it is to have someone who has your back, so maybe he'd have wanted to stick with someone he had some shared experiences with and knew he could trust.

I think he learned something. It is the first time Cassian choses to stay. He could have taken off. Especially after getting news about Maarva.

Now I'm also wondering if Cassian ever told Melshi his real name. Obviously, Melshi knows it by Rogue One, but since Cassian was in prison under a fake identity, did he during the course of their escape share his real identity? Not that it would help much in getting in touch with him later, since he's going to be a fugitive, but when you go through something like that together, it seems like you should know each other's real identities.
