thuganomics85 November 12, 2022 Share November 12, 2022 Definitely loved seeing the beginning of Dwayne's transformation from "Rocky Maivia to "The Rock." Remember when that all started, including him joining the Nation of Domination. Liked that they name-checked/showed Ron Simmons a.k.a. "Faarooq" and the part he played in helping with the new gig. Fun trivia: he has some similarities to Dwayne like also being a former football player who went to college in Florida (Florida State instead of the University of Miami) and also did time in the Canadian Football League. He did play professionally as well (Cleveland Browns.) He's also considered to be the first black world champion in professional wrestling due to winning the WCW World Heavyweight Title. Curious to know if any of those actual wrestlers were at Dwayne and Dany's wedding (really doubt Hulk Hogan was there), but those were all fun scenes. Their relationship is an interesting one, knowing how it ends. Again though, it sounds like they are still close in real life, so I'm guessing there wasn't any bitterness over their divorce. Turns out Dwayne is the only person who might be able to convince a nation to help rebuild their coffee supply, but he is currently refusing?! Evan Randall didn't see that coming!! 1 Link to comment

Seeing how he is third generation in the business I am guess they did show up. Even if most of those focused on, the 80s and 90s stars at the wedding were with the other company at the time. 2 Link to comment
rmontro November 13, 2022 Share November 13, 2022 I don't know if those particular wrestlers were at the wedding, but it stands to reason that there would be wrestlers on the guest list. I liked the interactions between Dwayne and Randall when discussing their movies, Randall Park playing Kim Jong-un in The Interview. And Dwayne in some animated movie called "Huskies", which will presumably be made in the future, this show's version of the future anyway. 3 Link to comment
StewieGriffin November 19, 2022 Share November 19, 2022 I don't get why NBC moved this show to Friday's going head to head with WWE SmackDown on Fox. The ratings have tanked this season what genius at NBC thought that was a good idea unless they just wanted the show to get cancelled. 1 1 Link to comment
Kel Varnsen March 19, 2023 Share March 19, 2023 This was a fun episode. I definitely remember the Rocky Sucks era, I even remember changing it when I went to the In Your House Rock Bottom PPV event in Vancouver where he was full on heel. It's crazy that a year and a half after this episode Dwayne was heading his own PPV's. One thing I did find funny was the subtle mentions of Hogan not being in the WWF anymore what with the Hollywood comments at the wedding. Also nice subtle confirmation that Vince is an asshole what with him RSVPing for the wedding and not showing up. Link to comment
