I like American-style pancakes (if done well), I love crepes, I like lefse, I like tortillas.... Pancake Dude missed an opportunity to broaden his horizons.

I'll still say give the guy what he wants... pancakes his way, not the chef's way.

One is a guest and probably paying for the infantile request. But a request every captain says they want to give.

Seems to me an experienced chef that deals with feeding Americans all the time should not have a problem making them and understanding the difference between a crepe and a pancake.

He could have watched a few YouTube videos on how to make American pancakes. Not all that hard.
