Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is forecasted to account for the largest qualified spend of the seven series, with nearly $136 million in expenditures during its first season. The show, which was awarded $20.9 million in credits, follows a group of lost kids trying to find their way home. The new addition to the expanding Star Wars universe starring Jude Law and directed by Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts is slated for a 2023 Disney+ release.

On track for a 2023 premiere (at least, the last we heard….), Skeleton Crew follows a group of kids lost in the Star Wars galaxy, trying to find their way home. Yet while it mainly stars and is about tweenagers, Skeleton Crew is “as much for kids as The Clone Wars,” exec producer Dave Filoni made clear at last year’s Star Wars Celebration.

Little else is known about the new live-action Star Wars series, other than it reportedly wrapped filming in January of this year. But now comes (unconfirmed) word via One Take News that EEAAO‘s Daniels — also known as Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, who just last week collected three Oscars, for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Directing — helmed at least one episode of the new Star Wars series.

Idyllic suburban America just looks weird in Star Wars. I suppose I'm used to more fantastical locations being treated as normal, so the mundane looks strange by contrast. Maybe that's the point.

There is something about this poster that looks like classic vintage Star Wars and I can't quite describe what it is. I am not the target audience, but I am still looking forward to this series.

There are multiple specific elements here made to intentionally ape those old posters.  Character positioning/grouping is the big one

Wow, so I had no idea this even existed.  I canceled my Disney+ subscription, they went crazy on the renewal price and unlike Sirius didn't offer any deals. 

I'll get a monthly pass when Andor S2 Drops and watch both shows...assuming this is any good
