peacefrog August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 Is it the ponytail that makes him swarmy? No book talk or spoilers unless tagged! Link to comment
WatchrTina August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 (edited) I'll weigh in to say that the mostly non-verbal scene when Claire see Black Jack for the first time is just brilliant because you can read Tobias' face so clearly. He is so clearly Not!Frank and the way his eyes sweep over her speaks volumes. I love the questioning look on his face as he waits for her to react to his introduction. But kudos to the hair and costume people too because the stringy hair hanging in his face doesn't hurt. Edited August 8, 2014 by WatchrTina 2 Link to comment
BizBuzz August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 The transformation was so incredible that I had to ask Athena if that was supposed to be the same person, as in the actor? ::giggle:: I knew I didn't like him for a reason. HA! 3 Link to comment
GHScorpiosRule August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 Since no book talk allowed, but based on what he tried to do in the first episode... You rapisty PIG! 2 Link to comment
peacefrog August 8, 2014 Author Share August 8, 2014 It's that raised eyebrow he did! Plus his voice changed a bit, not a lot but enough. 1 Link to comment
Petunia846 August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 Is it the ponytail that makes him swarmy? For me it's the greasy, stringiness of the hair. Gurrrrr. Tobias did an awesome job because I hated Jack with his first look at Claire. Link to comment
Constantinople August 19, 2014 Share August 19, 2014 I hope they flesh this guy's character out a little. Rapey McRapist, Scourge of Braveheart, will be a bit monotonous every episode. 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz August 19, 2014 Share August 19, 2014 After episode two, I still don't like him, now I want Jamie to beat him up. HA! 1 Link to comment

AZChristian May 3, 2022 Share May 3, 2022 We're rewatching the series right now. After watching Tobias as Prince Philip in The Crown, I am even more impressed with his acting ability, seeing the dichotomy of the characters he played in Outlander and The Crown. If I ever finish reading all of the Bosch and Lincoln Lawyer books, I may strive to make it through the Outlander series. 1 Link to comment
