What has Raq been eating to gain significant strength to knock big head Kanan on his ass with one slap. She put Marvin down with a slight tap using a 2x4. Maybe it was the new hairstyle that gave her the "Power"?! She did look good in leopard outfit though!

Too bad the "bullets" from Nique's crew didn't have the same attitude as Raq to hit Marvin. They were afraid to touch him.

I guess Marvin will eventually redeem himself with Raq. I think it will cost him his life.

Juke showed guts to appear at the funeral.

Nicole parents just got home to notice the break in and the police arrived in record time. Must be nice in that neighborhood. Unlike Lou's neighborhood, gunfire goes on for what seems an eternity, a fire breaks out and no police/fire response for a while. Not even a neighbor's light went on.

Burke has nothing better to do when she's not with Howard but sit by the police radio and hear who gets arrested in other precincts?  And her name has enough juice to get Juke released before she's brought to police station and processed? Aren't Nicole's parent's pressing charges!!! They will want answers! This show is trying my patience!

For a moment, Lou had me impressed bringing in a lawyer/part time valet to conduct a somewhat professional business transaction without showing any weap..... Wait! Too late! There is the shiny gun shown to Crown and the threat on his life to sign. Gotta keep it streets show!

I don't get Lou. Last episode, he puts a target on the family's back by insulting Nique/failed hit on Worell and he's not warning Raq, Kanan, Marvin, Jessica, Juke to lay low?!?!? He just goes out in public to sign a contract, goes to his home, sleeps with Jessica, declares he's "off tonight", and sits down listening to music as if "revenge" can never happen to him or anyone close to him. Such an arrogant individual.

Why was the music in the club so low for Symphony to hear the conversation between Toni and the cops across the room? People are lined up outside to pay good money to get in that quiet establishment?? I'm sure all the patrons heard Marvin and her going at it in her office. Unreal!

We haven't seen Toni in a while, she has been calling Marvin a "thousand" times and he hasn't answered. Before their office rendezvous, did the police ever consider this a "dead end" and want to cancel the surveillance?

The club is for young people and these two old cops are sitting there as if Marvin has no clue who they are when he walked passed them!

Joaquin has been tailing Raq, knows she has been talking to Detective Howard and he still invites her to his place? He should have cancelled the meeting or at least checked her and her man for a wire.

Raq confessed to Kanan she had D-Wiz killed. A few episodes back, what was the point having Juke see D-Wiz get in the car with Lou? I thought it would be Juke to tell Kanan and they piece it together to find out it was Raq/Lou. Curious now where Kanan goes with this revelation.

Look how easy "Hojack" got Lil Rob to confess. If all police follow this method, crime and drugs should be cleaned up in a week!

A little surprised it wasn't Juliana that pulled the trigger. But still no shock to see how he ended up. Juliana looks like she can easily crack under intense police questioning. Raq shouldn't be too relaxed this is resolved. But the show isn't gong there. They made their point to get the abusive man down. Nothing more here with this story.

I don't think Lou is dead. The show needs to answer why he took Nique's coat. To what diabolical plan does he have in store?!

Good job by Raq telling Howard: DefCon was gay. I'm sure he would be a gentleman and not use this nugget to his advantage to get to Kanan.

Does Burke know Juke is related to Kanan? Won't be long now until Juke finds out he made the bad crack.

Davina's mom was dead for a month. Congrats to Nique for getting her that help! I wouldn't mind if Davina is never back on the show again but she'll be back.

I assumed after that conversation had at the end that Juke knew Kanan made the bad crack… or at least that she knew Kanan made it when she got it from him in the last episode.

This episode is by far my favorite episode. Sure, my heart broke to see Juke break down watching the tape her and Nicole made… but this episode was HILARIOUS!

We get to meet Sam, the crackhead who  supposedly has been clean for a month. They left him all “anxious and shit” and he had to go smoke something. 😂😂😂

Then Howard and Burke go to pick up Lil Rob, and then Howard delivers perfectly “I hope you like d*ck, n*gga!”… which gave me the biggest chuckle I have ever had watching this show.

Lou showing up with the lawyer talking about a debt-to-equity conversion. Get that money! Contracts are considered void if they are signed under duress but if the lawyer doesn’t even care, there’s no hope for you.

I like that we got a little backstory on Raq, def con, and Howard. Did people used to say “fairy” to describe someone that was gay? If so, that’s news to me. In one of the previous episodes, I wondered if Raq was a teen mom because I thought remembered them mentioning it but I didn’t know if I was misremembering.

Kanan needed that slap. He ain’t never gonna learn. RAQ ALWAYS KNOWS! I’m glad we got a little backstory on Marvin. Marvin’s been a fuck-up. He has a little chip on his shoulder.

I’m having a hard time understanding why Lou stole Unique’s jacket out of his car. Showing him that he can get to him maybe?

Davina? Bye.

Jessica! No talking business in bed.

MARVIN! It sure takes you a mighty long time to notice that your brother’s house is on fire.

I don't think Juke knows Kanan can cook (Unless Marvin or Raq told her off screen). I think she just gave him a pass for handing the vial to her.

Juke is not that numb to be easy on him if she knew he made it.

Yes they did- but only for gay men, not women.

I didn’t know being left handed was a euphemism for being gay though.

This was a great episode. I didn’t think Raq would hurt Marvin, but she wanted him gone. And now Lou Lou is gone!

Poor poor Jukebox and her grief. I still want to know what turns this sensitive lovely girl, who’s certainly street smart and edgy, but empathetic and mature into a crooked cop.

Yes. And it seems Marvin’s wife left him for the Knick’s player when he went away, and left Juke with Raq. Marvin did come back though and got himself together enough to care for his child, but now we see why his Big Sister keeps him as her errand boy.

A crooked cop with psychopathic traits.

How many cars will Marvin wreck?

I definitely remember the term fairy.  Vaguely remember left handed.

If Scrappy survived Im sure Lou Lou is still alive.

Why did Jukebox STAY in Nicoles room all that time?  Just begging to get caught.  Although the police response doesnt surprise me.  Less crime in that neighborhood will have more available police.  Also we have NO idea how long the parents called 911 (presumably from a neighbors phone) before going up to the room.

Good call upthread on the middle aged men chillin in a youthful club- looking.  And talking loud enough that the bartender can hear.  Will Symphony take this info back to Raq?

Really good episode.  This show continues to get better and better.

Kanan deserved that super bitch slap that Raq.  She had every right to go nuclear on him and Marvin but I think she made mistakes revealing that she killed Kanan's friend and throwing Marvin out of the business.  She should freeze out the latter for a while but you don't want to splinter your family and your organization when you have enemies all around you.  This was not a good episode for Raq (aside from taking out that abusive shop owner).

I'm surprised Jukebox isn't holding what happened to Nicole against Kanan.  Nicole sadly made her own decision but I never expected Juke to not still want to take it out on Kanan.

Interesting information about Raq and Detective Howard, learning about their backstory and about why Defcon is viewed as Kanan's father.

Congenital heart defect. So that's the lie Nicole's parents chose to tell the world. Hmmm. Guess they paid off the hospital where she was taken?

Wow, Raq straight up murdered Julia's abusive husband. Wonder how that'll play out for Julia?

And that's how Howard is going to get Kanan's bone marrow. Blackmail over the blue caps. Or worse.

Surprising Nicole's parents didn't have a security system. Or maybe home security systems weren't widely available then?

Raq dumping Marvin could turn into a huge mistake. He goes off half-cocked at the drop.

Toni's office is bugged and she tried to sell out Marvin to avoid a prison sentence. When did all that happen? I thought Marvin was done with her. Whatever, guess she doesn't know her bartender is Marvin's sister's man and he saw her with those cops. Symphony will rat her out. (There's a theory elsewhere that Symphony is undercover for the feds. Guess we'll have to see how he handles the knowledge he now has about Toni because I don't buy him as a secret agent.)

Juke took the blue cap thing better than I would have expected. Kanan's lucky she didn't kill him. (I'm assuming she does know about the poisoned crack and that Kanan made it since he's the one who gave it to her.)

Likely no. That’s just what they told friends and family. Medical records aren’t matters of public record, and there’s no Internet news cycle yet- not like anyone could Google her at this time.

The hospital probably knows what happened but since there weren’t large amounts of drugs in their house they wouldn’t assume the parents (or Nicole) were dealing. Nicole was written off as a rich kid that got some bad crack, and after the tears and “I don’t know” from the parents I bet the police let it go.

Yeah but things have a way of getting out, especially scandalous things.
