AnimeMania September 12, 2022 Share September 12, 2022 (edited) "Let the Right One In" is a 10 episode eerie drama TV Series being released on Showtime On-Demand on October 7 and airing on Showtime October 9 at 10p.m. The TV Series is based on a 2004 novel of the same name by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist. A Swedish film of the same name was released in 2008. Let the Right One In is about Isaiah, a young boy around 16, long tormented by his classmates, who finds solace in a friendship with a charismatic thin pale female vampire, Eleanor, who "appears" to be near his age. The vampire settles into an apartment building in New York City with her father, just as a series of bizarre murders begins attracting the attention of law enforcement. Madison Taylor Baez as Eleanor, a Vampire who appears to be around 12 years old. Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night. Demián Bichir as Mark, the father of the Vampire Eleanor. Mark does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive. Fernanda Andrade as Elizabeth Kane, the spirited wife of Mark and devoted mother of Eleanor. Elizabeth’s love for her family motivates her to go to any length to protect them. Ian Foreman as Isaiah Cole, quiet and sensitive boy, who befriends Eleanor but has no idea the threat she poses. Aniki Noni Rose as Naomi Cole, Mark’s next-door neighbor, who is a homicide detective. Brilliant but cynical, Naomi balances life as a single mother with her career as a homicide detective. She’d do anything for her son, Isaiah, and when Isaiah befriends the girl who’s just moved in next door, Naomi’s thrilled — until she starts to suspect something’s off with their new neighbors. Kevin Carroll as Zeke Dawes, a successful restaurant owner who is friends with Mark and knows about Eleanor’s condition. Caroline Neff as Danielle Wilson, the talented head chef of Zeke’s restaurant, and the new boss of Mark. Jimmie Saito as Ben Jones. A dedicated NYPD homicide detective, Ben is a loyal partner and true friend to Naomi. Nick Stahl as Matthew, a former soldier and fiercely loyal fixer for the Logan family, whose clean-cut, mild-mannered exterior belies a savagery beneath. Josh Wingate as Roland. A former special ops and loyal disciple of Matthew. Roland takes orders well and knows his place, but is not above using brute force to get a job done. Željko Ivanek as Arthur, a scientist who is the father of Claire and the former CEO of a once proud but now disgraced pharmaceutical empire. Grace Gummer as Claire, the heiress of a pharmaceutical empire and is a brilliant scientist who turned down the family’s billion-dollar business to pursue a humbler, nobler career in disease research. But her life gets turned upside down when her estranged, ailing father summons her home and reveals a terrible secret. Jacob Buster as Peter, a sweet and funny boy who suffers from the same condition as Eleanor. When his father tests a potential cure on him, it backfires and releases a terrifying monster. dwmarch January 31, 2023 Share January 31, 2023 Aww, damn! I thought this was a great show and I would have been happy to see more. But I guess the sun came up, all the vampires died and the cops hauled everyone else away. 1 Link to comment
