ElectricBoogaloo April 17, 2020 Author Share April 17, 2020 (edited) This episode was really front loaded with Katy and then she disappeared for the last half of the hour (except for the voiceovers about everyone else). I know I'm supposed to think that Katy is a plucky ambitious go-getter, but I was cringing at everything she did at Guy's. Staring at the boss while he's working under pressure? Check. Making changes to his work space without asking? Check. Volunteering to sew and then being terrible at it? Check. Bleeding all over her pristine white atelier coat? Check. Fishing his rejected ideas out of the trash? Check. Stealing his expensive fabric to make a new dress? Check. She's lucky she didn't get fired. I thought that Bernadette Peters was the one posting stuff about Pepper, but Taylor the ex is a better twist. I'm surprised that they showed a threesome on network tv that didn't include at least one female. allonsyalice April 17, 2020 Share April 17, 2020 Hello friends, your local sewist here with a small but VERY IMPORTANT nitpick: an overcast stitch is a stitch used to enclose raw hems so they wont fray. Its a stitch thats too large and bulky to be done on a delicate piece of appliqué. If you do want to add some appliqué, please please use a slip stitch or something. This episode was broken up weird! I didnt like it as much! 1 1 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/107845-s01e09-wishin-a-hopin/#findComment-6070516
madhacker April 17, 2020 Share April 17, 2020 (edited) it was an ok episode but as for next weeks show........KEVIN KELLER!! And he's Katy's step brother!! If the show runners have any sense they'll move Casey from Riverdale that barely uses him and give him a a full time part on KK(doable since Katy takes place after Riverdale right?) Let Jorge take Kevin under his wing after he sees a video of Kevin doing Hedwig. So I tuned in last night to watch the appearance of Kevin Keller total forgetting that there is something called an international date line. And I admit it took me until 10 minuts before the end to realise that technically Australia is a week behind on Katy Keene. And I too was surprised they actually showed the male threesome. I thought all we would see is the standard glance and the audience would assume that it happen. So well done show. This is the 2nd episode I've caught of the show and I feel that maybe I should catch up. It seems like a gentler, kinder, positive version of the Riverdale world. It's just telling stories instead of trying to out bizarre the episode before. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/107845-s01e09-wishin-a-hopin/#findComment-6084164

I didnt like it as much! I didn’t like it as much either. I caught that too! I’m curious how many of the writers sew. They should hire a consultant. I haven’t seen Riverdale yet, I keep intending to. So far this has been a very cute and sometimes quirky show. Some eps are hit, miss or scattered. I think it’s still trying to find its balance. Catch up if you can! Edited April 28, 2020 by LemonSoda Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/107845-s01e09-wishin-a-hopin/#findComment-6093489
