I don't think she's the widow. I think she was a fling (or a one-night-stand) who got pregnant and he never told the rest of the JSA that he had a secret kid. If they had been married he wouldn't have just shown up once a year, on Christmas.

Besides, if your character is going to be a paragon of moral virtue who keeps it in his pants at all times, are you going to cast Joel McHale? 🙂

I think it WAS the car. As in it being a transformer, in the sense that it changes from the car, not in the sense that its intelligent and has a boss named Optimus Prime.
