ferjy December 24, 2019 Author Share December 24, 2019 “Not all families are normal like ours, Julian.” LOL The uncle sleeping in the crib was creepy. That’s some strong crib. So who (what?) really is the weird Uncle? Same question about Leanne. Now I’m starting to think that Spoiler it’s not her baby but that she brought the doll to life! 2 Link to comment
Milburn Stone December 24, 2019 Share December 24, 2019 (edited) I'm watching this show mainly because Mrs. Stone likes it. It's too absurd and random to be scary to me. Like, the crickets just stopped being a problem this week? Whatever. But there are two things I find interesting. One is how our perspective on Leanne has evolved. At first she seemed like a threat. Now she seems like a victim. Not just a victim of "Uncle," but of Sean, Dorothy, and Julian. The other is how remarkably good Lauren Ambrose is in her "on TV" segments. We've all seen actors playing in-the-field TV news reporters numerous times. This is the first time I've seen an actor nail it. Edited December 24, 2019 by Milburn Stone 1 2 Link to comment
LittleIggy December 24, 2019 Share December 24, 2019 That uncle was just the creepiest! And his dirty, nasty feet..🤢 Strange how the first thing he wanted to do was see Jericho. 1 Link to comment
Eve93 December 24, 2019 Share December 24, 2019 I don't understand anything. Didn't Sean install that bear camera to keep an eye on her?? Y didn't he c her whipping herself in her room? The uncle was the creepiest thing on this planet!! I can't believe Dorothy is so calm after seeing so many instances of strange behaviour. Especially after the baby was removed from the crib. And why didn't Julian tell Sean anything about what happened the night before? Jeez they better start revealing some things soon, otherwise it's just getting more confusing.. 3 Link to comment

She seems to go into brief catatonic states intermittently. More coping or something more? 3 Link to comment
Milburn Stone December 25, 2019 Share December 25, 2019 Knowing it's M. Night Shyamalan, I wonder if it's going to turn out that Sean is Satan, Dorothy is already dead, the baby is Leanne's, and the Uncle is Jesus. 4 1 Link to comment

I kinda had the thought that maybe Leanne has some kind of power(or worships some god that grants this power) to bring dead/sick children to life or heal them or something. coz her uncle mentioned that she is needed by others. 2 Link to comment
spaceghostess May 23, 2020 Share May 23, 2020 (edited) Man, I wish I’d been watching this when the rest of you were. Nonetheless, I’ll make my observations as I binge on a rainy afternoon. 1. This is creeping me right the fuck out, so good job there, Show. They almost lost me in episode 1, when Sean picked the “baby” up by the legs and conked its head on the crib rail. I never suspected it was a doll until that was revealed later; it’s been a long time since a scene threw me that much. 2. LOL to Dorothy’s “We’re blessed [not to live in South Philly]. This is by no means a comment on today’s South Philly, but it’s funny to hear it mentioned when we visited there so much as kids. My parents grew up there and left for NYC when they got married in 1953. 3. The way the camera lingers on all the animals Sean kills/preps/cooks makes me keep worrying that the baby will somehow become dinner. 4. And speaking of Sean’s profession: I’m totally invested in all the wackadoodle shit going down in this show. The ONLY thing I’m not buying into is that losing his sense of taste wouldn’t drive Sean completely nuts. I mean, I become almost deranged when a cold or sinus infection robs me of tasting my food, so I don’t believe for a minute that a chef wouldn’t be in the doctor’s office in a panic state the minute this happened. 5. The uncle was so, so gross and creepy. I have a thing about icky feet, and his were the ickiest. But did anyone else think his feet (and toenails, and fingernails, for that matter) were less dirty than DECOMPOSING?? Because they looked like the rotting extremities of a corpse to me. Just sayin’.... Lauren Ambrose is terrific, not that it’s any surprise. She’s nailing the neurotic entitlement like nobody’s business. And it is fun to see RG as her brother—excellent casting, indeed. Edited May 23, 2020 by spaceghostess Further explanation 5 Link to comment

Well yes. The Uncle seems to have some one else for her to help but she feels that if she leaves the kid will go back to being a doll. Seems plausible. 1 Link to comment
