Yes @stewedsquash now I’m recalling seeing him telecasting from his home supposedly away from the rest of his family. Since I don’t watch I wonder if he counts that as his first bout.
I’m lucky ( rarely) but my hearing aide company gives free batteries. One aide with most hearing loss uses slightly more power and it’s first to go but within little while the other side goes . When I got mine in 2018 I went to hearing center and guy that we used since my HOH son was little and I trusted him explicitly. A friend who needed them at the same time was going to go to Costco but I felt I wouldn’t get the same level of customer service. He actually wound up because of having Kaiser had to pay a fraction of what I did or was reimbursed almost totally, and went to private company When I questioned the guy I knew for years about batteries he said most people who start out with rechargeable after a year do change to regular batteries. I didn’t ask why but the friend who got aides same time I did switch after a year. I don’t know the reason. When he watches tv or listens to potcasts he uses a headset that’s linked so has a note by his door to put hearing aides in. The reason I got mine after my loss that came after bronchitis and pneumonia and earache ( the antibiotic turns out to cause loss + plus I’m old) was I wanted to hear /distinguish what my young grandchildren were saying to me.
Recently I was hearing a beep every 3 minutes and could not tell where it was coming from. My freezer door had been left open overnight so I kept going in there. I’d take my aides out and put them back in going in every room in my small condo it sounded like it was in same room I was in, and driving me crazy. Finally my daughter-in-law came over because obviously my sons loss would result in same as my inability tone wise. She found a little beeper I’d had to find my keys that I’d lost receiver to it was on table next to me under a paper. She’s already won best daughter-in-law many times before for grander things.
I had a terrible productive wet cough from Dec 31 until Jan 14. My ribs hurt so bad from constant coughing ,yet had no temperature or sore throat, total lack of sleep and nausea. . My daughter in law who went to urgent care right before I got sick had non proactive ,just dry cough had temperature and sore throat with headache and swollen glands
They gave her Covid test RSV flu A and B . Said she had bad cold was given inhaler and non narcotic cough RX
The narcotic RX syrup given to me I was so cautious taking it the first night maybe a 1/4 teaspoon when directions were 1-2 teaspoons. Well because of no sleep and very little food I was holding on to walls going down hall to bed. Can’t tolerate medication like I used to.

I could have sworn he came out and stayed with her or in hotel and she was not willing to move with him because she has kids so that’s why he plans moving to where she is. Was I dreaming that?

I’ve watched it twice since the mention and he’s really in a tangent. He’s taking several drugs not approved. The rants are about the Chinese labs creating variant that kills mice 100% of the time when infected. I’m with him WHY?

I lived in the central coast 98-2001 and 2004-2013 and there are many things I miss but happy to be where my son wife and grandkids are in my hometown in the Bay Area. If I had the money and family with me I’d love to live Mendocino. Used to visit and stay in Fort Bragg too!

I order a lot from Amazon including subscriptions for a protein drink not available in stores and dog food. I’ve been really sick so on the 8th after going back and forth about using Amazon fresh or a grocery store ordered cough medicine Pedilyte jello etc. from my regular Amazon account. I’m woken via text at 7:am saying my card had been declined.
All fricken day yesterday I went between my bank and Amazon which kept saying I need to update payment. I was assured by the bank that there was no block. Cut to end of day I get notice 2 things I ordered late yesterday ( doggie pee pads and rug shampoo) had been charged on a card I don’t want to use because although 0 % interest the balance is high. They just used it because other one had not been going through.
I wound up getting connected to fraud at my bank and it was quite informative. 1) she said Amazon did the block at 10 pm on my first order on 8th and I was unaware because I was in bed attempting to get sleep.2) She looked and told me how many vendors kept my card number and that’s how people steal your information. The card I use most had been kept 27 times which she deleted or inactivated She said when ordering online it will say in fine print down bottom about keeping card number and even when you’re calling an order can happen. . . One was Go Fund Me which was only one I allowed to keep my number others like a T-shirt company,Shopify and many I never did.
She told me that once a decline / block it triggers the bank to then be on alert and decline. Every time I check on status of order in red says I need to update payment information which I’ve done 14 times as well as bank telling me twice there’s no block on it.
So here I am without Pedilyte , jello and ginger cookies amongst other necessities. I’m not up to talking to a call center in India because I’m hard of hearing and don’t understand half of their “ customer service” which involves just telling me anything and repeating thank you Miss Clowns for that information a dozen timesWhen I have the energy I’ll call Amazon again and tell them I’ve stopped my subscriptions until they give me an explanation. Life isn’t done testing this old lady because my freezer door was left open the night before to accompany my cough and Amazon frustration. End of my moan. Oh goody pee pads arrived.

The other day I read the Amazon registry (s) and if legit were very odd. Lots of things that 2 people in their 70s must own but perhaps they are furnishing a third home where you need a portable walk-in sauna and multiple coffee machines. Lots gifts has been purchased.

I’ve always been strong for my age but those jars were giving me hard time so I have one of these…it’s mounted under cabinet and it doesn’t show. Works really well.

I do the same thing Mabinogia with combined deliveries then poor delivery folks making several trips. There’s many drivers out there that aren’t Amazon employees too and more likely to leave them right at my door front and center.
There’s a lot of package thieves as well a car break ends in my general area so I have added instructions to hide packages from vision of sidewalk in my condo community. A toy figure that one grandson wanted got double ordered ( I cancelled one on their recommendation when it was delayed 10 days) and both came at same time today. One came in an envelope and was smashed and the other in perfect size box. I have to chuckle because the grandsons think these are going to increase in value so they leave them in the box. Amazon has always rung my doorbell .I have new Ring and I get notices and an early overnight delivery I didn’t hear because I sleep with ear pods in and I’m hard of hearing ,but my doggie barked so he heard. Everyone is working so hard. My gripe is huge boxes with a non breakable small item then the breakables in an envelope.-

I’ve been watching and loving British shows for. years. Binge watch so many. Some good New Zealand ones too . I also just watched Jim Gaffigan’s special on Netflix and found it very funny. I’ve seen in him person and now he’s a little edger. Since I saw Nate Bargatze on SNL watched his special too, previously never heard of him. I’d love to see Sebastian Maniscalco in person but tickets were close to $400 near me.

Typo sorry I typed JW and could have sworn she said because they don’t believe in sex before marriage . Which I thought at the time didn’t make sense because she was married before. Maybe what little gray matter I have left isn’t picking up important crap on reality shows . Am I wrong about that they met on a JW dating site?
edited to add the mention of ex JW dating site. Things must be difficult in that department to choose someone so far away. It’s kinda of a joke that many on dating sites say they have a half hour drive limit.-

kristen111. I’m so sorry about the shocking news about your first love.
I love stand up so much. It was what my late husband and I did anytime we could. The 3 months before his death I jammed in as many as possible including his favorite Brian Regan ,Kathleen Madigan and Lewis Black . I even called Kathleen’s manager because the venue was not showing when tickets where going on sale. Now back in my hometown after my husbands death I couldn’t go see Brian for some time but did last year.
Paula Poundstone is who I saw for the 5th time Saturday When I was speaking with her I told her the first I saw her was when she first blew into town ( San Francisco ) she asked if I remembered the club name which I didn’t just it’s location. She is brilliant ! I re- read one of her books the week before. Ups and downs during 35 years of marriage we made each other laugh. I miss it the most.-

Catching up on reading the forum can someone tell me about the SNL episodes you say they played about Thanksgiving? I DVR SNL and nothing was different.
I am still on a high from seeing a favorite comedian last night. I took my 2 best friends and have never seen those two laugh so hard. That laughter is the best medicine. I got to speak to her for a minute while she autographed a sweatshirt for me.-

It does go towards our finically discussion here that everyone has to provide their own clothing and have 14 rose ceremony dresses even if you aren’t going to make it past one. They are approved so aren’t duplicates Reassuring is they have psychological testing and personality tests as well as background checks . Since I didn’t read the article on the DuckDuck search engine was only able to make it to 23 of 61 fun facts. One answered my question that romantic dinners they have and I never see them eat—- they are not to eat and have dinner in their room first.

Growing up if wast the dreaded rusty nail we were all terrified of. My mom was an RN and I knew about cross co contamination by the time I was 8 but don’t recall the fear of going barefoot.
