You mean masochistic, but yes, I totally agree. It boggles my mind that the Rumple/Belle relationship has so many fans. I guess it's tranference of affection for the actors onto the characters and the relationship between the two. That's the only way I can explain it. The whole concept of Milah returning from the dead is both giving me a headache and making me think of "Days of Our Lives," neither of which are good things. This show really needs to be done with love triangle because it does not do them well. I for one am hoping Regina/Robin/Marion is mercifully brief.

Can we just skip all this Frozen stuff and get straight to Maleficent? Can you tell I'm a fan? Like many of you, I worry that A & E will mess up a potentially great story and waste a good actress. Trying to remain positive and crossing my fingers.

Do you honestly think Hook could have stopped Cora from killing those poor people even if he was standing right there next to her? I don't. I believe he would have died along with the villagers if he had tried to do or say something in opposition. They've never answered the question of what Hook's feelings were about Cora's massacre of the village, and they've never explicitly stated whether Hook posing as a blacksmith and hiding in the pile of bodies was his own idea or something Cora told him to do. At this point, I don't expect answers to these questions because too much time has passed and A & E with they're ADHD have moved on to other things. From their point of view,and it isn't that important to the storyline. It just dawned on me that any continuation of this discussion should probably take place in the Hook character discussion forum, since we are no longer discussing "Good Form".

Look at it this way- you probably dodged a bullet. If the show was greenlighted and then dropped , the scripts coming in must have been bad.

I see your point, but at the same time I've read both here, at TWoP, and on other forums where people have been critical of the fact that the writers have had these two people who despised each other to the point that they spent centuries trying to figure out how to kill each other - at least Hook did that - suddenly be able to put their differences aside and coexist with each other as if everything was fine and dandy between them. Now they're finally addressing the animosity these two have towards each other, and people are accusing the writers of recycling old story lines. Clearly the Rumple/Hook feud wasn't addressed during Season 3 because the characters spent most of the season apart from one another, and when there was an opportunity for them to interact they were both busy trying to protect people they cared about from the Big Bad Villains Peter Pan and Zelena. They didn't really even have time to be thinking about how much they still hated each other. Apparently, they will be spending more time in close proximity to one another this season, so the writers have decided that this is as good a time as any to revisit their old feud. I would never expect Hook and Rumple to be buddies. The big question here is whether or not the writers manage to write their relationship in an interesting and compelling way, which, yes, is a reason in and of itself to be concerned about what is going to happen. I'm willing to give it a chance. I think Colin and Bobby play well off of each other, so I think exploring the bad blood between Hook and Rumple could make for a compelling story, not to mention that it will give the actors something more interesting to do than make puppy eyes at some female. As others have mentioned, I'm very glad we'll get to see these characters involved in a storyline that is not focused on their romantic relationships. That is, until a small but vocal group of Pirate Gold shippers start harassing A & E to seize the opportunity to explore a gay relationship between these two characters who have so much tension between them they clearly want each other.

I would totally agree with you if they were once again feuding over what happened with Milah, or if it were simply over Rumple being married again, which is why I think they've got to be at odds with each other over something else. The bad blood between them in the past makes it easier and more believable for them to be feuding over another, unrelated cause. What that could be, I have no idea. The more spoilers I read and see coming in from the filming of this episode the more confused I feel.

Now I'm thinking that the pinky ring may contain the magic that is animating his long-dead hand. Either that, or the reason for the costume change is that he is now an emo-vampire on "The Vampire Diaries" and he got Regina to make him a Daywalker ring.

Oh, no. There we go with "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" theory again. I wonder if Hook's hand will have a magical mind of its own like the broom. Mickey used something like a machete on the broom and it backfired. This is getting to be a little too Disney.I will die laughing if Hook's hand reaches out and grabs Emma's boob while they're having their date and she throws a drink in his face. And not in a good way.

I'm going to reserve judgement on both the Rumple/Hook scene and whether or not the characters are acting out of character until I see the full episode. Everything is being taken out of context, we don't really know what is going to happen. I'm also going to reserve judgement of Hook's new outfit until I see it on film. All we've seen so far is low quality photos, and those pants may appear differently on film. For all we know, we're seeing Hook in some kind of "disguise," like he's going undercover. This actually makes me wonder if Hook and Rumple might be collaborating to protect Storybrooke from the new big bad, presumably the Snow Queen. I'm also starting to wonder if the Knave/Will Scarlett might be working as the Snow Queen's minion. I'm not sure the purpose of the new outfit is for a date with Emma. I don't see Hook hanging out with Rumple and punching out the Knave as he's on his way to a date - both events would probably be mood killers. I do have to add that in my opinion if there's a character who is increasingly bland on this show, it's Rumple. He was awesome in Seasons 1 and 2, but I found him as insufferable and annoying as Jack Shepherd in Season 3. I love Bobby, but I agree with those who suspect he wants out. He doesn't seem nearly as committed to this role as he once did.

Eh, from the actual wording of the story I get the impression that the story won't really be "Henry gets a girlfriend," more like "Henry has his first crush on a girl". I think 12 is a very likely age for that to happen, for girls it can be even younger, 10 or even 9.I also doubt Henry's crush will be a major storyline, just a sub-plot of a B or even C plot. At least, I hope so.

OK ... So now there are three inappropriately dressed people in Storybrooke. Maybe Regina should start walking around in her Evil Queen dresses so she can join their club.Regarding Colin in those pants, they're making the dirty part of my mind recall when Tamara and Greg referred to him as "the Package."

This picture made me come up with a theory that the reason we are seeing Hook and Elsa in so many scenes together is because the characters are bonding - in a totally non-romantic way- over being the two most inappropriately dressed people in Storybrooke. "Why are you dressed like that?" "Why are YOU dressed like THAT?" Maybe eventually they encourage each other to adopt modern "Land Without Magic" attire.

This idea is giving me Sam Malone flashbacks. The playboy (or ex-playboy) with a drinking problem with the adventurous career in his past (professional baseball player/pirate) who retires and winds up running a bar in New England. Hah! Would that make Emma Diane Chambers?
