  1. Agreed. And I agree with others who suggest that it's not an injury. The practice does seem to be that vets stay on the team for the season if they are injured, which I think is as it should be. I'm sure they still participate in other kinds of events and appearances while recovering, give extra feedback during practices, etc, so they still contribute actively to the team. TCCs like Rachel her first year or Tessa last year haven't been vetted as dancers or representatives yet. So, yeah, Hannah's probably not hurt, physically, at least. Whatever it is, I hope she is OK in the end, and I feel very badly for her and her teammates, who seemed to love her and must be shaken by this--whatever "this" is. She appeared to really love being part of the team, is such an amazing dancer, and beautiful and poised young lady, I couldn't help but like and admire her. I get the Abby K comparison in the blonde-blue-eyed beauty department, but Hannah strikes me as more mature as a person and even better performer than Abby was. (This is no diss to Abby! Hannah's in her 20s and Abby went to high school prom the night before her first audition.) All I'm saying: We better find out what happened this season! As I've said more than once, Hannah was one of my favorite rookies last year, so I hope it was nothing scandalous or petty like Chelsea. She looked so wholesome and family-oriented on Twitter, it's hard to imagine anything crazy. As for how it's addressed on the show, I'm hoping for more of a Courtney version--briefly tell us what's up, nice montage and well wishes.
  2. I'm so upset about Hannah! She was one of my favorite rookies, and clearly one of the most talented dancers. Gorgeous, too, and on camera and Twitter seems like the kind of young lady Kelli and Judy die for as a DCC. She looked on top of her game in the pics from auditions. I really, really hope MTT addresses all these vets cuts and roster changes! Specifically, I'd like to see judges' discussion about Courtni, Morgan, Alex, and Tessa, as well as what happened with Hannah. I certainly hope she is OK, and that nothing bad has happened. As for Megan getting cut, I'm not surprised. As I have mentioned earlier, I didn't think she was an especially strong dancer, and while she's in great shape, she does look a little thicker in photos than some of the other TCCs. I thought she was the weaker of the two Tampa Bay girls. Does anyone know how many cuts have been made at this point?
  3. I don't think Nicole has ever been on SG. And my guess is that Veronica and Katy are close contenders each year, but lack just a bit of the technical skills and training that some of the SG girls have. Both girls are really great dancers and charismatic performers, and are two of my favorite cheerleaders. (I seem to remember Veronica saying in her website video that she started studying dance fairly late as far as dancers go--but I wouldn't swear by this memory.)
  4. An article on the two former Tampa Bay cheerleaders who are in training camp. http://www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com/articles/behind-the-scenes/a-new-tampa-2/ I kind of think Kelli and Judy would say the brunette has a more "athletic" build. I remember wishing both their dance audition videos had been better. A cute story about them so I hope they make it together, but they will have to step up their dancing to make the DCC. I really hope they do! Also, I thought it a little strange that the DCC website is featuring an article about two girls who haven't made the squad yet. I'm guessing these two will be followed on the show--Danielle & Jasmine, take 2--but I hope it's not overdone to the exclusion of all the other rookie candidates.
  5. I'd like to see both Jessicas and Veronica make it this year. And just based on the auditions videos, I'm predicting that will be one of the rookies to make SG. SG is in Hong Kong right now. Sydney posted this pic: https://twitter.com/DCC_Sydney/status/476206769832599552/photo/1
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1s2320NBBg&feature=kp The new Neal McCoy music video that features Mia, Emma, Brittany, and Jessica.
  7. I just saw on Twitter that the rookie TCCs had uniform fittings yesterday. I wonder if Kelli likes Vivian better in her uniform this year. I thought her abs looked much firmer and her thighs a little trimmer at auditions than she did last season. But I also thought her dance video for auditions this year was kind of sloppy, so I wonder how she's doing in the studio, too.
  8. pic.twitter.com/kO8NqKtm0D Jinelle was awarded one of the DCC Barbies for outstanding solo performance during finals this year. I wonder who else got one, and if cheerleaders are only chosen once for this. Doesn't make that much sense to give multiple limited edition dolls to one person.
  9. I think Sydney is well liked by a lot of her team mates, and it is clear that Kelli and Judy like and respect her as well. She is a great performer, a sexy young lady, and seems a strong vet and leader who gives a lot of support to others. But I agree that she's not the very best dancer on the squad. I do think she's a strong contender for Pro Bowl, but don't think wanting to get voted to it would be the motivating factor to keep trying out for the team. I, personally, would be more drawn to the trips to Mexico, top notch free beauty, hair and dental care, adoring fans (she has over 20,000 followers on Twitter, I think more than anyone else on the team), and paid appearances and unique experiences than getting to go to another football game. Plus, the girl really seems a true blue Cowboys fan who loves all things Cowboys nation. So, go, Sydney! I for one, will miss her when she retires.
  10. I think Ashley Nicole is a really strong dancer and pretty girl. I'll be interested to see if Ashley M improved sufficiently (as in, dramatically) this past year to make it. I was impressed by her performance energy if underwhelmed by her technique. She is cute and seems sweet, though. I hope Ashley M pulls it off, but think she's not the strongest contender.
  11. I liked Melissa, too. She had the choreography down better than almost anybody, and has that wholesome cute look going on. Definitely rooting for her! DCC is going to have to do some serious scouting and recruiting this year. The audition numbers were low, and as people keep noting, the quality candidates pool is pretty small. I've read articles that said 500-600 auditioned this year, but this picture of the round 1 board only shows numbers into the 320s. http://www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com/photos/behind-the-scenes-photos/2014-prelims/attachment/_d3x7834/ No way nobody from 330 through 500 didn't make it, so that is hundreds less than in past years. Good thing a lot of vets are returning! This pic that Jasmine posted appears to be right after or before the solos. https://twitter.com/DCC_Jasmine/status/467806681511239680/photo/1 I see Alex and Morgan, but not Courtni, which makes me wonder if something happened that prevented her from participating in finals. I hope she is ok.
  12. Thanks for the above link, MrsEVH! This article lets you see the dance videos of the rookies. Just click on the name of a rookie candidate in the list and a new window pops up with the videos used for voting. Doing that, I saw that the winner of the fan invitation into TC was a former Dallas Mavs cheerleader. In my mind, this is why she won, as her dance video was not that strong. I hadn't even considered her for my 10 votes. She had messy arms and feet and looked lost more than a pro cheerleader should, even if under unusual audition circumstances. I give her credit for pulling the dance off after a really weak start, though, so maybe it was nerves that rattled her here and there, and maybe she has dynamite kicks. I thought other rookie candidates looked pretty strong in their videos, but I'll say again that some of the pro cheerleaders who made TC underwhelmed me a little. I'll be interested to see who turns out to be a contender and who a struggler on the show. I do wish them all luck in TC, though! It's gotta be tough.
  13. I agree that Vivian looks leaner this year. Her abs looks really ripped, and she still looks healthy. I was disappointed that her dancing wasn't cleaner and more powerful, though. She's obviously been working her butt off on getting in shape, and her dancing should have been equally improved, since that also was a problem for her last year. Even if her body passes muster now, her dancing could be a deal breaker for making the team. I've never been sold on her dancing, but I think she's gorgeous, a hard worker, and a fun performer, so I'm rooting for her--as long as she doesn't beg this year.
  14. I agree with posters who said they were surprised at how unimpressive a lot of the semi-finalists were as dancers, and I think that's why they took fewer into TC this year. When I voted, it was not hard to whittle it down to 10, because so many of the dancers were weak and messy (including a lot of the girls from college and pro teams!). I appreciate that they're not taking a ton of girls into camp that they don't really think can make it, just for drama for the show. It's a good thing a lot of vets came back this year! There's not a ton of seniority on the squad, but I think the returning vets are a strong group. I think it's very possible there will be a slightly smaller squad this year than recent years. There were a lot of cute ladies auditioning, but it was clear a lot of them lacked dance training and polish in ways that can't be fixed in 8 weeks. The choreography did look harder this year compared to last year, though, to be fair. There were a few rookies who were impressive in their videos. I already forget which ones, but I recall that Mary stood out to me, so I was glad to see she made it to TC. I'm not surprised that Morgan got cut, what with her bad memory and all, but I'm disappointed about Alex and Courtni. I liked them both on the show, and I think Alex looks really fit and sexy, even though I agree her weight might have contributed to her getting cut. I'm definitely curious to see who the group leaders and seconds are this year. My guess for leaders are Sydney (obv), Emma, Nicole, and Holly; my guess for 2nds are Brittany, Jacie, Veronica, Jenna, or Kelsey. Can't wait for season 9! My guilty pleasure...
