Yes! that was a crazy amount of salt he was shakin'. I didn't realize Jeff drank so much that it was a big deal for him to stop for a couple of weeks.

In the earlier seasons they were pretty open with how they end each workday with drinks- I think the entire staff. I think Zoila would make them.

Teddy was a guest on Jeff's radio show and I think that's how he ended up wanting to do her program, I didn't realize he was only doing 2 weeks though, from his radio show they made it sound like he only lasted 2 weeks and then quit lol

I am super surprised Liat and her husband allowed(?) them to talk about their relationship - and if that became a storyline without them knowing, I wonder how that relationship is now.

True, but my comment was strictly from an aesthetic viewpoint, nothing to do with the Kleins.     Me? I would put some plywood over them and make a water slide out the front door.

Perhaps it's a way to deter people from knocking on their door? I know if I were a salesperson I would take one look at those and say "NOPE" and continue on my way.

  4. I think what we saw is that what Jen really wanted with no remodel needed was way out of their budget and they likely ran out of time to find something and Bill, Jen or both refused to rent while finding or building their perfect house so they likely found something that suited most wants location wise (privacy, water side and view) with being cheap enough to fund a remodel. Plus it already had an elevator which I'm sure was a HUGE plus to them. I imagine having one installed is super duper expensive, leaving not much extra for lowering cabinets and other changes they wanted to make. All those stairs don't much sense to us but none of it really matters to them since they have the elevator. I don't foresee them answering their front door very often.

I wonder how much Jen makes from her career, she isn't practicing medicine anymore right ? A simulation specialist what about 80K ? They own the Pet Shop in Houston - with employee salaries I doubt that is a major breadwinner, the pee pads at this point have not hit the market, so I wonder what TLC is paying them. A reno for the new house and a reno for the old one to put it back to average size people can't be cheap.

She's likely above practicing medicine at this point - so she probably makes well above what she made as practicing doctor.  She's the head of an entire program that she helped build.

They have 3 cars? What in the world do these 2 little people need with 3 cars? For that matter, what do they need with that gargantuan house? It's overkill. They had to spend big bucks to make the Houston house sellable, and they made no profit on it. Now they are spending huge amounts of money on this Florida reno not to mention they paid over 2 million for the house to begin with. They are bordering being ostentatious and whoever said upthread that they are showing off, I agree. It's becoming a turnoff and I just get a "I'm sooooo cool" vibe from Bill. If they don't have anything to contribute to the show any longer other than showing us how rich they are then maybe it's time for them to say goodbye. I know one thing, if I have to watch them shop again next week, I'm going to be saying goodbye!

Many regular size people have more cars than people and bigger houses than they need. Good for them if that's what they want to spend their money on.

I agree about them buying her some pictures but this detail is just more proof that Jessica is that vindictive and manipulative. She wants Chloe to dump Max and she's not above using threats to get her to do it. The custody thing will probably be next if she doesn't break up with him.

The high school that my kids attended had specific requirements for the photo but some kids did submit some headshots that were clearly taken by an amateur. Nothing wrong with it but I preferred my kids have a professional pic in the yearbook. For my oldest I splurged and over ordered on the wallets (and wasted literally hundreds of dollars - but the pics were awesome). By the time I got to my youngest I was more savvy about the number of pictures but we still had a lot leftover. They try to convince you that you need so many and they make you order a minimum for each pose. Oy. I'm getting flashbacks.

I read that Max is getting sentenced tomorrow 11/8. Wonder if he'll actually get some jail time or if he'll be on probation or something.

Oh yea... now that you said that I think my school was the same in that we submitted our own photos for the yearbook but they had specific requirements (like it had to be a headshot). And I can't even remember if we did regular school photos like everyone else.

I have a feeling that McKayla probably fried her hair from styling it all the time and maybe combine that with pregnancy hormones it may have went to crap.

I agree 100% about her not wanting to cooperate.  He's got some kind of hold on her.  She's weak when it comes to him.

i have to kind of side with Kyler a bit.. even though I think he's the worst.  He CAN put an ultimatum on the ring if she freaking lost the first one without a care in the world. I was totally on his side when she was all "you shouldn't give me ultimatums" and he kept says "BUT YOU LOST THE RING"  fucking idiots...

Gee, I wonder why Nova is going through a phase where she just wants mommy?

Maybe because mommy runs away every chance she gets and shows more interest in the kid she gave away.

I was glad to see Tyler showing some growth when it comes to the situation. It seems that, even though he doesn't love it, he's realizing what his boundaries are. Cate, OTOH, thinks it's acceptable to text harass Teresa, and then wonders why they don't want to see her.

Honestly wondering... why were they trying to force Nova to let her dad give her a bath and not her mom? It's not like Cate was busy. It seems like Tyler WANTS Nova to want him and if frustrated that she always wants her mom but I didn't really understand being so stubborn and not giving into her wishes at that time.

Shut up Taylor's TTM coffee mug. I mean, coffee mugs really? And when did school start for Bentley? I would think August or September, but isn't Carly's birthday in May? Year round in TN, or wonky timeline?

I think they said Carly's bday was in June (Dawn gave her a June birthstone bracelet I think?) But they sometimes do wonky timelines. I'm not sure how year round works but schools that don't do it generally don't even get out of school until June.

I'm wondering if Carly didn't want to see Catelynn and Tyler...Theresa may have been trying to spare their feelings but Cate and Tyler are too f****** stupid to put two and two together and figure that out.

Honestly the kid probably doesn't care. She probably sees them as some distance relatives.

I'm usually not that hard at Tyler and Cate when they push their boundaries but them feeling insulted that Theresa told them they didn't need to worry was so incredibly off putting. and for the first time I will say - SHE IS NOT YOUR DAUGHTER. You do not get to know every aspect of her life. I think B&T fear the backlash of what will happen if they completely cut it off. They're probably hoping the show will die off soon and then they can do it.

  9. So is the thing about local honey and allergies true? I never had to deal with allergies when I was younger but probably the past 10 years they seem to get worse and worse every year. I will eat honey every day if it makes them go away!

  10. Yearbook photos and senior pictures are completely differently.  senior pictures are for fun, something to hand out to your classmates and family members and then parents can order nice portraits for their walls.  I think it's kinda lame that Chloe's parents won't pay for senior pictures - that should have nothing to do with Max. They should WANT to have nice pictures of their daughter and maybe even granddaughter.  Senior pictures can be very exciting for a girl.  The car thing I get.

My parents bought me a car when I was 16 but I was so not expecting it. They just showed up one day with a car for me.  And apparently back then it was considered a nice car because people at school thought I was spoiled. To me it was a 2 door dodge neon, nothing fancy except it did have a sunroof (that after awhile kept getting stuck). But they had me get a real job when I was 15 and even before then I was doing things like mowing the yard and mowing the yard where my mom worked so I wasn't a lazy kid.  I think my parents spoil me way more now as an adult in my 30's than they did when I was in high school lol

Definitely. You could tell just from the tone w/ which they took when speaking to her. Talked to her as if she were a stranger.

And this tell all also cleared up the confusion about where Emiley lives. It's Bridget's house but Bridget hadn't been spending much time there, sometimes staying gone for weeks to let Emiley and Diego play house there. Very childish of Bridget but I can feel the hurt of feeling so unwanted she doesn't even want to stay in her own home. IDK why she feels that way but I sense the hurt is totally real.

But I'm curious... where does one's mom go for weeks at a time when it appears they work somewhere in the healthcare field? Those people generally work quite a bit, don't they? AND leaving her teenage daughter and her boyfriend home alone for 3 weeks.  Just seems a little irresponsible to me and i'm not even a mom. i would love to know more on their backstory.

That is always going to be the problem w McKayla.    No big shakes, Grandpa Tim will figure it out.  This isn't going to be her last OOPS baby.  If she was left to struggle a little bit she could be more serious about birth control.  If made her sit in her own mess she would find the focus.  I bet begging for extra hours at the local Piggly Wiggly so the rent wouldn't be late would help her straighten up.

Don't get me wrong Calean is not off the hook for not wrapping it up.  But the Princess is the one who seems to be without any consequences here.

How many oops babies does McKaylas mom have? at least 3? Although the last one maybe wasn't an oops baby and more of a free money baby.

  12. So Makayla's hair she was trying to cover up was likely the hair she has in her Th's - pulled back and up in a bun - and that would have looked 10 times better than that awful wig.

no one commenting on fabian's "i didn't get to say what I wanted to say" as they walked off the stage. I wonder what that was??

And Diego is an asshole but I don't understand, when these teen moms refuse to let the the father of their child spend time with said child, elsewhere, why do they not get visitation set up? I know it isn't alway ideal but I'm sure Emily could trust Diego's parents with supervising Diego with Aria. Dad's aren't going to learn how to take care of their child if you don't let them try.  I do think it's weird that Emily doesn't want financial help from his parents.

Of course, after the children were repeatedly told that they couldn't touch in the cave, Will purposely touched. He should have been forced to leave the cave immediately and Zoey should have been allowed to enjoy the rest of the tour. Zoey would have gotten to enjoy the touching post at the end of the tour and Will would have missed it. It would have been a good lesson for him. Break the rules and pay a price. Follow the rules and get rewarded. The kids suffer no consequences for behaving inappropriately.

Jen was definitely out of steam and irratible by the end of the show. I don't blame her. Moving is hard and stressful. I can't even imagine doing it with a camera crew filming the whole thing. They really put up with a lot for the TLC money.

I'm willing to be that cave is touched by A LOT of kids. He touched it once without thinking. you can tell kids a million times not to do something and then they'll do it.

I'm wondering if it was a short-sale or foreclosure.  The sellers may have known that they were behind on their mortgage and tried to sell it (when Amber was showing it), but when they couldn't sell it, it went into foreclosure.  The water damage and mold could have happened while it was bank-owned and when you buy them foreclosed, they're usually "as is" sales.

I'm thinking that may be more the case.  Except I think it might have been a little more trashed if it was a true foreclosure because people tend to take whatever they can to sell off - did the kitchen have all the appliances?  That would be a big indication.

However no one sells a house with a pool with a pool looking that nasty... so I think it definitely wasn't a regular sale.

I am SUPER jealous of Liz's art space in the garage. I'm 35 and a dedicated art space is high on my list for my next house.

I thought the girls were obnoxious in the hotel. Running up and down the halls and acting like fools in the fitness area.

Honestly - most teenagers act like that, especially if they're cooped up in a hotel room for many days (and having to show off for the crew).

I remember getting in trouble when I was that age and staying in hotels with friends - we would hang out in the hallways and the employees of the hotel were ON IT.

I wonder why they're making Liz go over her breakup - from the scenes they showed of her ex, it looks like he was with them in the new house?? There was a scene with a fireplace that looked identical to the room they were eating pizza in.  So I'm curious as to why they're making that the storyline so soon. Poor kid... but unfortunately that happens to most of us in high school... we think the world is ending.

I can't believe they found a nasty towel behind that bookcase!!! I hope they went after the sellers on that one, for saying that they did get it fixed and then obviously didn't.  Not realizing it was still leaking and sticking a towel down there are completely different things.

I think he mentioned he went to college in South Carolina but I wonder if he grew up in a place where speaking Spanish comes in especially handy like Arizona, Texas, California, New Mexico or Florida? Or did he just pay good attention in HS and college language classes?

Despite my heritage being Hispanic, I don’t remember anything from HS Spanish except a few cuss words and “cerveza.”

one of his friends at the dinner also spoke spanish (the one sitting next to him at the table) - I was pleasantly surprised by that as well. More so than Jon speaking it.

I think they figured $25k would be their share for one year.  The comment about 8 years of college came from them saying he would start in middle school, then junior high and then high school - which equals $$$$ to 8 years of college.

I would tell Mimi and Papa that if they want Bentley in private school then they can pay for it themselves.  It's not normal for kids to want to leave their friends behind.

The girl from Russia was definitely here as seasonal summer worker. There is a program for students especially from eastern Europe to come to USA for 3 months in summer. They are mostly employed as lifeguards at pools and in summer jobs in areas like Ocean City. Young Americans don't want these jobs anymore so they bring people here from less affluent countries. When I worked in Target I was extremely surprised to hear my language one night and it turned out there were guys who were working as lifeguards in daytime and night shift in backroom in Target from my home country. Not sure if the last few years they are still able to get additional jobs but they still come on special visa for strictly summer jobs.

I went to Maine a few years ago right as their summer season was getting ready to start.  They do the same in their touristy towns and something happened to delay the visa process so a lot of restaurants weren't able to open their normal hours because they didn't have the staff.
