What are the thoughts about Tuesdays episode??? I was so anxious to see how the kids have grown and progressed and I was highly disappointed. I think Will is 6 or 7 and Zoey is 4 or 5. When Zoey was telling everyone no, including her grandparents without being corrected that that isn't nice behavior, I was floored. They are spoiled brats. In the castle, going into places after being told not to or being told come here and completely ignoring Bill, primarily was shocking. They clearly have no control or very little because they try to be lenient as far as discipline goes. My mom said not all kids are easily disciplined and some kids are badder than others and it takes time. I get that but I also feel had Bill and Jen nipped little things in the bud when they happened when they first got them it would be a lot easier at this point. I have a feeling Will and Zoey are going to run the household.

Is there going to be a new thread for the new season?

I totally agree, I hate to criticize children because they aren't choosing their hairstyle or their clothing, but Zoey and Will look horrific, IMO. It seems they have cut Zoeys hair shorter and shorter and it's not even feminine. I believe Will has more hair than Zoey at this point. The pictures that Jen posts are so random and I would think as perfect as she wants everything to be they would be professional shots. -

Someone posted that the filming has stopped due to Will and his behavioral issues. I haven't seen this and I posted an excerpt from an article featuring the 7Little Johnstons and how there is some sort of legal dispute between TLC and Discovery Channel over the rights of several shows seen on both networks. I do believe they have filmed a new season that should have aired months ago. -

Noticed this in a picture Jen posted on Instagram. A new color house??? As long as it took her to pick that ugly green color she has changed it to a more subtle blue. They have changed their furniture inside the home at least 3x since moving in so I'm not surprised. -
"With “7 Little Johnstons,” Discovery is understood to have a third-party company lined up to take over production of the show. Of the six LMNO shows wrapped up in the lawsuit, only one, TLC’s “The Little Couple,” at present is moving to a Discovery-owned banner. However, “Little Couple” is the most successful of the shows, which is why the move has raised eyebrows." www.variety.com/2016/tv/news/discovery-lmno-7-little-johnstons-writ-1201855705/ This is an excerpt from an article on variety.com in reference to why some TLC shows aren't coming back or are in limbo. I put it here because it seems to have the most recent activity.

The Little Couple Season 8 Begins Tuesday January 5, 2016!
eributterfly replied to EmmeRose's topic in The Little Couple
Very disappointing and even more so since neither Jen or Bill are big posters on IG or Twitter so that we can see how the kids are growing up. -
This may not be the correct place for this. But, does anyone know when the new season starts? Or if they are even coming back?

The Little Couple Season 8 Begins Tuesday January 5, 2016!

I remember Zoey saying she wanted her ears pierced just like mommy so I wouldn't be surprised if the request for the haircut came next. I also seem to remember Bill saying he wanted the pixie cut on Zoey, I'm sure that along with the fact that I remember a scene from the first day of school and Jen was brushing her hair as they walked down the stairs from back to front,,which made no sense to me and indicated she had no idea what she was doing. Zoey may have easily knotted hair and may even be tender headed which makes styling hair a nightmare. -
I didn't really like this episode but, I don't really like any of the question answer shows. They don't get asked anything of substance IMO. We really don't learn anything from them, it's a waste of time. Has anyone noticed that when they are on the couches they never show their feet it's from the chest up. Any other little people show we see their entire body including feet. Does anyone think they are in denial about being little? And think they are just extra short, especially Bill. I think I've mentioned this before, if so, I apologize, I suffer from memory loss...seriously. It was just boring. I didn't see Bill being bored or rude to Jen. It did seem as though she was answering the majority of the questions as usual but, when it was about the kids he interrupted probably because he spends more time with them and could give more info, but I don't think he was doing it to undermine her. I think it's time for the show to end and for them to do update shows maybe twice a year.

I think there is a night and day difference with how the Hamil's discipline and Jen and Bill and maybe it's due to having the kids biologically and adopting. The Hamils have been able to discipline starting at a much younger age while Jen and Bill didn't want to discipline right away because the kids weren't comfortable with them yet. I think Will was able to get away with a lot more than Jack at 3 or 4 and now Zoey basically runs the house and seems to do whatever the hell she wants and Bill looks on and laughs at everything she does. They excuse it as her being moody but the moods need to be addressed because the older she gets the moods will get a lot worse.

Why in the world do you think being a SAHD is something to be ashamed of? I don't think anyone is downing the role of SAHD but, I think Bill isn't necessarily proud of that role. He's a businessman not a house husband. And maybe that is what the majority of his time has resulted to be. Jen is no longer seeing patients so I would think she would be home more often but, apparently the SIM Center is keeping her busier than ever.

I believe that Bill is the type of man that doesn't mind riding on the coat tails of his successful wife. I can remember in past seasons he always referred to her as "the good doctor" whenever he could in front of people. It is a status thing with him and a little embarrassing. Bill isn't going anywhere and neither is Jen.

It was extreme,y boring to me. Obviously the kids were adorable and I don't really have an issue with Will trying out Zoey's activity if invited by the instructor. I do believe after awhile Zoey will voice if she has an issue and doesn't want him to be a part and I do believe Will will have a tantrum, similar to,the way he gets out of sorts when Zoey was singing happy birthday to loud or was starting to read her bedtime story to soon, in previous episodes. I thought it was funny how when in the escape room, Bill seemed to just walk around aimlessly, clearly he has a huge vocabulary but to see him kind of out of his educational element made me chuckle. He seemed to insinuate that his Cub Scout skills saved the day at the end with morse code-???? Really, you remember that from cub scouts...ok. Overall I am getting tired of seeing activities every episode, can we just see simple home activities. Them going to school coming home, after school and then dinner and bedtime. I hope they aren't filling everyday with activities of this magnitude, I think it's a bit much. Hopefully it's just for,the cameras. I can remember when they got Will, Jen made a statement that their biggest fear is that he would get bored. They need to get bored so they can figure out how to entertain themselves, which I think they will have no problem doing, they are great well rounded kids.

I loved this episode as well. My question is, is it really that big of a deal when one parent goes out of town? I know it's mainly used because of filming for the show and they have to do interesting things. The pizza was cool but, the game following seemed a bit much, why not just show bedtime. Seeing the kids doing anything was pleasing to me and hearing Wills laugh is so contagious. They are truly happy kids. I loved Jens hair darker, it's actually closer to her natural color. I also saw scenes from her trip and she had lighter hair so as usual it's a lot of editing that isn't necessary to me. The scene when Jen was leaving was odd to me as well because Bill always seems to dress as if the cold doesn't affect him at all so to have on a coat just to go to the driveway seemed odd. I figured because the kids were inside he was just walking her outside to say bye so,obviously someone was inside with the kids we just never saw them. Another thought, Bill always always assists Jen into any vehicle and this time he stood back and let her get in alone. Even when drivers tried to assist her he steps in to avoid her having contact with them period. The show IMO, has always been very staged even down to what they say, it's scripted as well and they are extremely bad actors.

IN reference to the eating of it all. Bill has stated that he eats like an average sized person while Jen does not. So he has to be extremely careful with how much and what he eats. During the restaurant portion, her was clearly holding back whil Jen and the kids kept eating. He describes Jens secret to eating whatever she wants is she doesn't eat a lot. I thought initially they fed Will way to much and then Zoey as well and it was very wasteful. I remember when they were setting up the first train set under the Christmas tree and Jen made PB&J sandwiches in this thick gourmet bread and instead of making one sandwich and giving them each a half they had whole sandwiches. But, you learn as you go. They always referenced how they hadn't gotten access to food whenever they wanted it in the orphanages so maybe they just wanted to compensate. Whatever the case, I think we are all wasteful from time to time.

And they have changed their furniture in their home so most likely it's just been in the upstairs apartment.

Nope, I don't buy that because I think Jen is very meticulous about what she says and how she says it because she doesn't want to come off in a non perfect way. I believe she fully thinks out every word and probably has rehearsed it prior to. This is my opinion. There have been other instances where she has said things that I thought, why would she say it that way, it makes no sense and it wasn't even a smooth delivery it was almost like it was rehearsed. I just thought of something else, they were saying that Zoey was having her first "crush" or starry eyed look at the doctor. I think it may have been because he actually looked like her. He was brown skinned, well minus the makeup and had her dark hair. She looked more like WOW he looks like me. Just a thought.

I enjoyed his episode as well, the lemonade stand was so cute but, once they saw the problem with the filling of the cups and the kids sipping from all of the cups, simply take the cups away and have them where customers pay for their items and then Will and Zoey could fill it and be done. Jen laughs at everything but, I also assume it's when she nervous or sad as well, she was talking with her mom about moving and all she did was giggle. I am not sure if anyone caught this but me, because I am weird, when Jen stated that her parents had wanted to retire and move to Florida for as long as she had known them. Kind of odd talking about your parents. Maybe, all of my life or since I could remember. I'm feeling Deja vu. Have I already typed my comment on this episode.? If I have, I apologize, I have lupus and suffer from what's called lupus brain or brain fog. I'll end here.

The Human Beings Known as the Arnold-Klein Family
eributterfly replied to wrestlesflamingos's topic in The Little Couple
I agree completely but, my thought is being successful despite being little, I would think they would be apart of talking and encouraging other young little people to motivate them. Jen makes speeches in reference to Similation training all over the country and Bill had been shown making speeches about his business with his partner in the past. Why not use this to to motivate the younger generation of little people. Like you said they have navigated through society with the mindset that they are no different, spread that message. I think in her mind it was a bit of denial and simply saying it gave her hope that she could carry a a baby, which is what most women dream of. -

I would think once he is basically full grown, the surgery would take place. On all other little people shows, The Johnstons, Little Women of LA, the children of the adults had it in either middle or HS. I also don't thing they will have as many surgeries bc of their type of dwarfism. Hopefully not, anyway. -
before Jen and her mom went shopping, Judy asked Bill if she was going to see him later. We then see that an overnight with the grandparents was already planned. Why do they interject statements like this that later make it look so scripted and scripted badly. And when they were in the car leaving Bill looked so concerned as if they weren't "qualified" to keep them. He even asked Jens dad, are you ok? Really.

I find inconsistencies in a lot of what Jen says. I don't want to say she's lying but it's kind of lying. But the thing is it's not necessary and I don't know why she does it. I've mentioned this on another thread but Bill had mentioned he liked the pixie cut for Zoey to Jen and the hair stylist and in the next episode when the pixie was mentioned Jen put her finger on her chin and kind of looked up and said oh I'd never thought of that, when clearly she knew Bill preferred it. It's just little things like that. Also, totally off this topic, I reply to things the little couple FB page posts and I mean these people are die hard fans and will come at you with claws out if you say anything not complementary towards them. I love to go head to head with them, they put them on a pedestal and find no fault in anything they do. It's hilarious. I was giving my opinion about how they could have handled the lemonade stand a bit better for the kids to run, oh my Lord this woman came after me as if I sent a death threat. I basically told her to find another hobby, I doubt they need body guards. She would probably have a heart attack if she read some of these comments. I am not sure if they have told them they are adopted but they did get books to prepare Will for Zoey and I think it showed her coming from another country but it may not have been specific about her not coming out of moms belly but they are still pretty young to understand that. I think the only time younger kids get that is when you constantly point to the bump and refer to it as the baby. -

I don't think they have little people friends at all. Jen has stated that her little people friends that are smaller than she have had children, which I find extremely hard to fathom. A person the size of a 3 year old carrying a child seems impossible but if she's wider with bigger hips or torso maybe so. Also I remember Jen kind of putting her nose up at conventions stating that she was busy with school and all they had were dances and she wasn't into that sort of thing. I don't think Bill has any little people friends because I don't think he believes he's a little person like others. I truly think he thinks he's just short. They don't have the "look" that you normally associate with little people. -
I actually thought they were prolonging getting the shot by trying to reason with a 4 year old. I went with my friend to get her son his shots and she said just do it. He was crying and she was given the option to hold him which Bill could have done instead of Zoey lying flat but his pants were already off at that point and she was overwhelming him with kisses and the other nurse was doing peek a boo, which I thought was not age appropriate but he was cracking up in between cries. But, to sit there saying look at the butterflies on the wall or it won't hurt or you won't have to get another one for along time seemed like they were just as scared as she was.
